Andrew Bynum Suffers Setback with Other Knee- 76ers star offseason acquisition Andrew Bynum has spent all of the preseason and regular season on the bench with knee problems and this week it was revealed that he’s suffered another setback, this time with his left knee. Earlier this week, it was reported that his right knee was the issue and would keep him out until at least Dec. 10. Now that date may be extended once again (Fox Sports).

Lakers Roll Past Suns Using D’Antoni’s Offense- Although Mike D’Antoni won’t coach his first game for the Lakers until Sunday due to his continued recovery from knee surgery, he has already been leading practices and installing his fast-tempo offense. The Lakers used the offense for the first time Friday with good results, winning 114-102 against the Suns (Sporting News).

Kevin Martin Warned for Flopping- Oklahoma City guard Kevin Martin became the third played warned by the NBA for flopping during a game against the Detroit Pistons on Monday. The previous two players warned were J.J. Barea of the Timberwolves and Donald Sloan of the Cavaliers (Sports Illustrated).

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Immortalized with Statue- NBA hall of famer and Laker great Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was honored by his former team in the form of a 16-foot, 1,500 pound bronze statue of his likeness that was unveiled on Friday outside of the Staples Center. The statue displays Jabbar doing his signature move, the “Skyhook”, which Jabbar pioneered during a career that saw him become the league’s all-time leading scorer (ESPN).

Rondo Returns, Helps Celtics to Win Over Raptors- After sitting out a Thursday night loss to the Brooklyn Nets with a sprained ankle, Celtics guard Rajon Rondo returned to the starting lineup Saturday, contributing 20 assists to tie his season-high in a 107-89 win against the Toronto Raptors (NBC Sports).

Shabazz Muhammad Reinstated by NCAA- UCLA’s highly-touted freshman guard Shabazz Muhammad was initially declared ineligible to play by the NCAA after he was deemed to have accepted approximately $1,600 in benefits. However, after repaying the funds and appealing to the NCAA, Muhammad has been reinstated after only missing three games this season (CBS Sports).
