Last season was a transitional one for the Bulls with big changes taking place at the VP and the GM positions. The 2020-21 NBA season is year three of the Bull’s organizations promised two-year plan and the Bulls fans would like to see some traction this year.
The clear star player of the team is Zach LaVine. Offensively he’s an amazing player, but is he someone tht can lead Chicago to playoff glory the city is expecting?
LaVine could use all the support he can get from his teammates in his ambitions of reaching the All-Star team and the post-season. After a promising rookie campaign, forward Lauri Markkanen has taken a step back the last two seasons. Wendell Carter Jr. is also expected to step up in his third year.
Bulls schedule for 2020-21 NBA season
No doubt the Chicago Bulls can improve over last season, but with a stable of young players, they missed picking up a experienced leader that could have helped guide them to the next step.
If the history of the NBA rings true, either the Bulls have to bring in a veteran star or wait to see if LaVine, Markkanen, Carter Jr., Coby White or another player develops into a leader they can count on to step up in order take the Bulls to playoffs and beyond. As always, let’s see how the schedule plays out.
