Season 2019-20 was the first under Head Coach Luke Walton, but it didn’t seem too different than what we are used to seeing from the Sacramento Kings. Unfortunately. The Kings didn’t secure a playoff spot and ended last regular season with a noooooot baddd record of 31-41. The only positive from last year that we can point to is the performance of De’Aaron Fox who averaged 21.1 ppg.

Sacramento’s biggest change for the new season is in the GM position, where Monte McNair replaced Vlade Divac. They also parted with Bogdan Bogdanovic and acquired Hassan Whiteside during the short NBA break. In order for SAC to reach the playoffs, Marvin Bagley III has to stay healthy and prove that drafting him over Luka Doncic was the right call for the Kings.

Their first game of the season is against the Nuggets in Denver on December 23. The Nuggets are deemed favorites by many and this will no doubt be a tough game for the Kings. Even so, this will be exciting challenge to see if the Kings can step up, surprise everyone to come up with the win.
