The Pistons finished with a record of 20-46 to finish the 2019-20 schedule and once again did not manage to earn a playoff spot. Just a reminder, in the last twelve years, the Pistons proceeded to the playoffs only two times.
This is despite bringing in Blake Griffin and Derrick Rose. Given, they’re both dropped a couple levels since the peak years of their careers, but both are definitely on the scouting report if you roll into D-Town. The Pistons need to find the right chemistry with key players Rose and Griffin and the Pistons may have an outside shot at reaching the playoffs once the 2020-21 schedule plays out.
2020-21 Detroit Pistons TV schedule
During the short break between seasons, the Pistons made some significant changes in their roster. Most notably, their rising star from last season Christian Wood went on to the Houston Rockets hurting Motor City’s chances at a 2021 NBA playoff berth according to fun88.vin. However, Detroit did draft Killian Hayes with the overall No. 7 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft and also added Denver’s Jerami Grant and Mason Plumlee through free agency.

The Pistons start the season with an away game at Minnesota against the Timberwolves on December 23. It will be an interesting clash between the two teams who will be looking to win and start the season successfully. From there, they play against the Cleveland Cavs and Atlanta Hawks.
