As with the few years previous to last year, expectations were high again for the Houston Rockets as the dynamic duo of Russell Westbrook and James Harden looked promising on paper. As it turns out, they were only capable of reaching the conference semis and Westbrook wasn’t happy not playing his freewheeling game, where they were knocked out in five games by the reigning champions Los Angeles Lakers.
During the break, both star players requested to be traded. Westbrook has gone to Washington Wizards and the Rockets got John Wall in return and they secured the 2023 first-round pick.
Houston Rockets TV schedule 2020-21
Looks like James Harden will remain a part of the team for at least one more season – and whether he’s the problem or Westbrook and CP3 is the question. Another great addition to the team is DeMarcus Cousins whose performance the past two seasons has been devastated by injuries. Nevertheless, he is still a supertar player with All-Star status, an unstoppable offensive juggernaut by himself and can take the Rockets to the next level if he remains healthy.
