The 2021 season has been filled with a multitude of firsts and changes. Big name programs missing from the bracket
As mentioned earlier, there are several NCAA powerhouses like Georgetown, Syracuse, Xavier, Michigan State, and UCLA that had to wait to hear their name called to get into this year’s March Madness and there are a handful of big-time programs that are going to have to wait until next season to participate in the Big Dance.
Some of this was decided over the course of the weekend as conference tournaments completed of which the winners would earn themselves automatic bids. However, by this time on Monday, we’ll know for sure who’s in, and who’s out of the 2021 NCAA Men’s college basketball tournament bracket.
When it comes down to it, this year is different and just because you are a college program that has a basketball brand that everyone recognizes doesn’t mean you should get a free pass. As far as the 2021 March Madness snubs are concerned, lots of college basketball fans are up in arms over the Selection Committee overlooking Colorado State (18-6), Louisville (13-7), Ole Miss (16-11), Boise State (18-8) and a 14-6 St. Louis squad that will be an alternate and #1 seed in the NIT.
