Jasikevičius leaves Lietuvos to join Fenerbahçe

Lithuanian star and former-NBA player Šarūnas Jasikevičius has joined Turkish league champion Fenerbahce Ulker on Friday.

The Turkish club’s website announced that the 34-year old Jasikevicius will leave Lietuvos Rytas in his native Lithuania.

In six games, “Saras” averaged 7.3 points and 4.3 assists off the bench for Rytas – the team he began his professional career with in 1998-99.

The 6-4 veteran guard is a four-time Euroleague champ, named to the Euroleague all-decade team, while playing for Union Olimpija, Barcelona, Maccabi Tel Aviv, and Panathinaikos.

During his NBA career, Jasikevicius played 138 games for the Indiana Pacers and Golden State Warriors from 2005-07. Saras averaged 6.9 points, 2.5 assists and shot 35.5% from three during his short stint in the NBA.
