The 2022 March Madness tournament has been awesome. The unpredictability of many of the games and upsets has been crazy as usual. Who would thought Baylor and Kentucky wouldn’t have made it to the Sweet 16? Let alone #4 Arkansas taking down #1 Gonzaga last night.
The four winners of the Elite Eight games will move on to the 2022 edition of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament Final Four. Dating back to the original NCAA Tournament it’s also crazy to think that tournament only had eight teams, and now we see 68. To help you follow the action, we have a printable Elite Eight bracket that you can download or print.
I’m New to Following March Madness, what is the Elite Eight?
The Elite Eight is NCAA Men’s Basketball code for the quarterfinals. For many college basketball teams, it represents the pinnacle of a college basketball teams year. There are a large number of teams who have not made it to a Sweet 16 let alone the Elite Eight. Not surprising, the teams with the most appearances are the “Blue Bloods.” Kentucky with 38 appearances, UNC with 28 going into this year, Kansas with 24, and Duke now with 23.

Duke is really turning it on in Coach K’s final season, so we’ll have to see if they can get past the final SEC team remaining in the tournament against the Razorbacks. It should definitely be a great matchup when the Elite 8 kicks off on March 26th, 2022 and concludes on March 27, 2022. The Final Four will take place on April 2nd, 2022 with the 2022 NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship game scheduled for Monday, April 4th, 2022.
