Now that Championship week is in full swing, it’s time to get a printable March Madness bracket for 2024 NCAA Tournament. When are the Teams Picked for the 2024 NCAA Tournament?

There are a total of 68 teams that are selected to play in the NCAA Division I tournament. This is for both the men’s and the women’s tournament. The NCAA Selection Committee will pick 36 teams to be “At Large” participants in the field of 68, single elimination tournament. The other 32 teams earn their conference’s automatic bid to the tournament. This is normally accomplished by winning the respective conference tournament. The teams are picked leading up to Selection Sunday by the Selection Committee. Some teams are not really known if they will make it until the championship games are played on Selection day.

When Does Selection Sunday Take Place?

Selection Sunday takes place on March 17th, 2024. The men’s tournament seeds and bracket matchups are announced during the CBS Selection Sunday broadcast that is aired at 6PM Eastern Time. The Women’s tournament brackets get released at 8 PM on ESPN. Both shows put out the finalized NCAA tournament schedules and brackets.
