Darko’s Post-Game Threats Draws 10,000€ Fine (Video)

Wow, Darko was mad. Darko was really MAD. Ok, we get it Darko, you were mad.

Immediately after Serbia’s loss to Greece 68-67 on day two of Eurobasket, an angry Darko Milicic went on a furious tirade against the three referees that oversaw the match. International journalists were there to witness almost a minute of Darko’s profanity-laced post-game interview that focused mainly on the Italian referee. Milicic utilized just about every offensive slur and denigrating sexual situation in insulting the official, the official’s mother, and if the official had a daughter, well Darko made sure to cover that base also. Darko was fined 10,000 Euros by Fiba for his hate-filled, ill-mannered, and idiotic comments towards Italian Fabio Facchini, Lithuanian Virginijus Dovidavicius and Stelian Banica from Romania, the match officials. The fine was the maximum a player has ever been fined in a Fiba-sanctioned event. Serbia ended up without a win in the tournament, going 0-3. [text translation] [related thread]
