When do the Women’s Tournament Matchups get Finalized?
The final seeds, matchups, and games get released during the Selection Sunday broadcast on ESPN on March 17th, 2024. The NCAA deconflicts the Women’s tournament announcement from the men’s by time. ESPN will air the bracket announcements starting at 8 PM Eastern Time this year. The men’s tournament will be announced earlier (at 6 PM) during the Selection Sunday broadcast on CBS.
Women’s NCAA March Madness 2024 Schedule
The 2024 Women’s NCAA March Madness schedule overlaps with the men’s schedule. The NCAA has tweaked the dates so that we can enjoy the big games for each tournament without having to make a lot of difficult choices in what games we plan to watch and which ones we’ll catch on the DVR. The first and second rounds of play in the Women’s bracket have the majority of the games in the tournament. They take place between March 22nd – 25th, 2024.

2024 Women’s NCAA Tournament Regional Site Locations and Schedule
Since 2023, the Women’s NCAA Tournament has held the Sweet 16 and Elite 8 schedule at two vice four locations. For the 2024 NCAA Tournament schedule, the games will be held at the MVP Arena in Albany, New York and at the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon. The Sweet 16 games take place on March 29th through March 30th, 2024. They are followed up by the Elite 8 on March 31st and April 1st. The teams who win their Elite 8 games win their respective regional and move on to the 2024 Final Four.

2024 Women’s NCAA Tournament Final Four and Championship Game
The 2024 Women’s NCAA Tournament Final Four and Championship game are scheduled to be played on April 5th and 7th respectfully. Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse is the host arena for this year’s Final Four. The two Final Four games will be broadcast on ESPN and the Women’s Championship game will be on ABC. This is the second time that the women’s Final Four will be played in Cleveland. The previous time was during the 2007 Women’s NCAA Basketball Tournament. The cohosts for the 2024 Tourney are the Horizon League/Mid-American Conference and Cleveland State University.
