The 2015 WNBA Playoffs start Thursday and the 2015 playoff schedule has been released by the WNBA for this year’s playoffs, but the WNBA’s scheudle isn’t the most user-friendly experience. We’ll provide you with both a printable bracket and an easy to follow schedule of games.

WNBA Playoff Field: Can the East Win This Year?

Could this be the year that the Eastern Conference wins another WNBA championship for their conference? The East has only won four of the 18 championship titles since the inception of the WNBA back in 1997. Three of those titles went to the Detroit Shock (not the Tulsa Shock).

With Diana Taurasi sitting out and Candace Parker taking half a season off, the Western Conference wasn’t nearly as strong. Tina Charles led the New York Liberty jumped on that opportunity and has the best record in the league at 23-11 going into the playoffs.

Let’s not forget about the season that Elena Delle Donne just posted perhaps the best season in basketball history — men’s or women’s — for the second seeded Chicago Sky.

Still, the Western Conference isn’t anything to sneeze at — especially not when you have reigning MVP Maya Moore, Lindsey Whalen, Seimone Augustus and the Minnesota Lynx in the mix. And even without Taurasi, DeWanna Bonner and Brittney Griner have been happy to step it up for the Phoenix Mercury.

Eight of twelve WNBA teams make the playoffs with San Antonio, Atlanta, Connecticut and Seattle missing the cut .

Unlike the NBA’s seven game series, the first round of the 2015 WNBA playoffs if a best of three series, so whatever team wins two games first will advance to the second round.
