Watch Greece vs. Serbia brawl in Basketball Match

Another fight at a friendly as Greece and Serbia square off in the Acropolis Tournament in a match leading to the World Championships of Basketball.

Discuss the Serbia-Greece fight in our forum

The melee starts with Greece up 74-73. Greece’s Antonis Fotsis goes up for a three-point shot and Serbia’s Milos Teodosić runs by the Greek forward to challenge the shot –

After the play, Fotsis takes exception, Teodosic pushes Fotsis in the head with his finger and before you know it, all out chaos breaks out.

At one point, Nenad Krstic throws a chair at Greek center Sofoklis Schortsanitis. The chair instead landed on Ioannis Boroussis’ head.  Boroussis had not even played in the match because of a hand injury, but the metal leg of the chair left the Spurs’ prospect with blood dripping down his neck.

Krstic was then arrested by Greek police, and the Greek fans pelted the players as they leave the floor.

There is a lot of information out there and sure to be player suspensions rolling up into the World Championships.

I’ll add to this post as it comes in/I come across it. In the meantime, go to our discussion on the Greece-Serbia brawl during the Acropolis Tournament.
