Russell Westbrook fights off Patrick Beverly

The Okalhoma City Thunder’s All-Star guard Russell Westbrook will be out indefinitely for the playoff if the reports of a torn meniscus are true.

Westbrook went directly to the bench immediately after the colliding with Houston guard Patrick Beverly in the game two against the Houston Rockets, which may have been the cause of his injury.

Westbrook was casually bringing up the ball to call a timeout when Beverly went for the steal. The two ended up banging knees. check the video:

The seriousness of the injury hasn’t been reported, only that Westbrook will undergo surgery for the tear, but no know timeline has been released.

Beverly played 41 minutes due to an injury to Jeremy Lin suffered in the first half. Beverly, an active, physical guard, hounded Westbrook aggressively throughout the game and tallied 16 points (on 7-13 shooting), 12 rebounds, six assists, two steals and a block.
