It’s all been settled. It’s France vs. Lithuania in the Eurobasket championship game on Sunday.
Lithuania dominated Croatia in the third quarter and sailed to a decisive semifinal victory, 77-62. Jonas Maciulis led Lithuania with 23 points. Linas Kleiza had 22 points and 11 rebounds. Bojan Bogdanovic led Croatia with 15 points.
France shook off a terrible first half, and came back from 14 points down, to squeeze by Spain 75-72 in overtime. Tony Parker was unstoppable for Les Bleus with 32 points. Marc Gasol scored 19 points, gathered 9 rebounds, and blocked 3 shots for Spain.
Until then, we have a slew of classification games that will determine final placement.
- 17:30: Serbia vs. Italy (watch online)
- 21:00: Slovenia vs. Ukraine (watch online)
The first game will determine which team will finish in 7th place and who will finish 8th. More importantly, the winner between Serbia and Italy gets a ticket to the World Basketball Cup next year. Because Spain has an automatic bid and finished in the top six, a berth is being extended to the 7th place team.
