Deron Williams released by Brooklyn working on a deal with Dallas

Deron Williams had it all in Utah and was playing on a contender team being at the same time arguably the best point guard in the league, but he also didn’t like the system of then head coach Jerry Sloan. This led to him being traded to the Brooklyn Nets for forward Derrick Favors (19 years old at the time) and Devin Harris.

.

Today after five seasons spent with the team Williams has been waived by the team and he’s looking towards a new start at the age of 31 in Dallas alongside Chandler Parsons and Dirk Nowitzki. The new deal will be worth around $10 million for two years, and a possible player option in the second year.
