So Meralco still believes in Alapag/Castro pg setup..Scoring a lot isn't in Cortez DNA no matter how good he is and for a team like Meralco you need offense aside from your import.. and you don't get better if youre best offensive player would be Cortez (the problem in Air 21 when Canaleta suddenly dissapears)..

On the otherhand, my hunch is that Jong Uichico will take over at Meralco. Slowly but surely you've got 2 pieces there. John Wilson and if the trade pushes thru, Mike Cortez.

Hahaha come on of all coaches Rajko Torman made him look like the Man in Barako...and Tim also got back to back finals appearances with him at the point

Not jealous with the kerby you had.... I find it funny that some ginebra fans went uproar with the rumor of a kerby-rob reyes trade... Seems they always end up in the losing end of trades.... What did ginebra give to get tenorio and aguilar?

The Cortez-Cardona trade is funny as hell. 1st becuase coach RG said they traded away @M3rcMyWords (sol) to give the reins @cmross6.

2nd Air21 is saying they need a good 2 and Cardona is dispensable for Meralco kasi Wilson is playing well. San nga ba galing si Wilson? haha

In principle we gave up JV Casio to get LA Tenorio whom we were about to get from GP.

Ditto with Petron fans. Ditto with SMC fans. Not all of them though. It's in the family :)

yeah but Jong would not get all the former Ginebra guys after all Menk, JJ, Rudy are all manongs already.. before he left to MVP camp he is craving for a post player ala Kerby Raymundo..and Meralco is really keen on getting a scorer like Canaleta...for now they have 2 good trade pieces.. Hodge and Taulava
 
I dont know why Lito Alvarez still has his job.

You know if these PBA teams cant sustain a basketball team in the PBA due to Financial problems, they should just step out.

They are gaining negative press over PBA fans with being a farm team.
 
PBA should make a rule that you cannot trade your first round pick in consecutive years. I am sick and tired of seeing Petron and San Mig getting top picks all the time
 
I think Air21 is panicking or just plain stupid or as others say Smc's bitch. I mean they got Cortez which Franz was so keen on getting and then trading him again for Cardona. If this pushes thru who will play the point then?

As for Meralco, I don't think it would work as well as with how Tnt plays it. Ross/Cortez does not have the speed of Alapag/Castro and neither of the 2 is good enough to play off ball since they don't shoot consistently well from the 3.
