Arab Basketball Championship UAE 2010-2011 [15 May - 25 May]

Fadi El Khatib till now is the Best player in the tournament every Game 30+ he s playing very well these days and we have to not miss that Champville are missing one of their Key players: Lee Benso who s injured !

As For Riyadi hope tomorrow they will be back to their real level and beat the UAE team al sharjah ,i think Nate is playing like this shit because he played all the Season for Riyadi and give for the team a lot and play from his heart then come to UAE and Riyadi said to him:it s your last championship this year ,You will be OUT in ASIA ,for sure he will loose the spirit and everything ,i think FAC Should not start with Nate ,he should Start with Mohammad ibrahim (instead of Ali who s injured) ,Omar on pos 2 who can easily hit 3 pts ,Jean on 3 ,Ismail on 4,and Loren on 5

the combination Ismail-Nate-Woods isn t good at all

i am sure that riyadi will be back and same scenario will be like last year when they lost in the first round and come back with the title !

Great performance again yesterday by Champville and specifically Khatib. Youngblood and Thompson had really good performances as well from what I was able to see.

I just managed to watch a bit of the 3rd quarter and the last quarter of the game since I went directly from work to the stadium...

Enver Soobzkov was the man of the Match with about 6 shots from the Arc ... Jameel Watkins & Ryan Forehan-Kelly had a very Good Game specially Watkins who dominated the Rebounds . ASU where playing against the Imports of Bani Yas nothing else and without these Imports may ASU hit a Record in this Championship !

I didn't have the chance to watch ASU in this tournament yet so I decided to stay at the stadium and watch their game (I probably was the only Lebanese guy in the stadium who stayed after the Champville game to watch ASU playing :D)

I could notice that there was good team chemistry between the players in this game. Mussa Awadi started off shooting a couple of quick 3's and eventually everyone else caught up with him. Enver also was on fire as once he started scoring his 3's there was no one stopping him. He ended up with 17 points with 5 3PT FG's.
Sam Daghlas showed a few nice highlights especially one great alleyoop to Ryan Kelly who dunked it with authority... Ayman Idais even at such an age remains an amazing player. He ended up with 16 points.
As for the foreigners Jameel had a descent game and scored 16 points.
Ryan Kelly ended up with 8 points if I remember correctly and it seems he's slowly getting better as the tournament is progressing...

As for Bani Yas, well they lost all their matches if i'm not mistaken and they are the weakest team in this group. It was their foreigners who only scored during the game until the last few minutes of the game when all the subs from teams were playing.

Here are some pics from the game.. I managed to take a few pics with the Abbas brothers after the game since they were the first guys to leave from the changing rooms to spend time with their family here in the UAE. I am not kidding but the Abbas brothers had more than 20 family members cheering for them :D (Including the kids and ladies)..

if so, Dar el Baydaa vs Gharrafa game who was the winner ?
 
Who is the 3rd import in Al Sharja? (first 2 - Brandon Crump (usa), Radhouane Slimane (tun)) Arab media write that it someone with the surname "Colley" (26 pts against AlGarrafa). maybe JuJuan Cooley? :confused:

2. Gharrafa 2-2 (-7 +4 -13 +2 = -14)
3. Sharjah 2-1 (+21 -2 +13 = 32)
4. Riyadi 1-2 (+16 -4 -17 = -5)
5. Dar el Baydaa 0-3 (-16 -21 -2 = -39)

Riyadi must win if not

they will remain fourth to face Champville on QF

+ 18.5 pts win to be second
wining less than that will be third

ASU 127 - 64 Ahli , Forrest and Battles (Ahli) scored about 50 points ! while ASU played with Bench since the 2nd Quarter

tomorrow's quarter final will be pure lebanese between champville and riyadi.
i hope that champville can win this game cause riyadi is playing like crap.
the 400 000$ loren woods had 0 points and the useless nate had a very terrible shooting percentage.i do believe that nate was scoring in lebanon by following this proverb ''why do you accept to be a zero when you can dope and be a hero''.

when you tell a player 'we don't need you anymore and this is your last championship' after an extraordinary year being MVP of the year in the league and the best import in WABA what did you expect ?

Ismail came and everything turned to crap.
don't tell me they've won the league with Som3a coz it was just one import change Loren for Ismail

now they have the WABA players added to the league and Ismail, lack of chemistry, players out of system , Ali's injury and a bad management every time they bring someone out of the blue and expect in 10 days to win Arab and Asia...it's always same problem.

Send Ismail away keep Nate, Loren Ali when he's back Omar Ali K or Billy on 4
Jean will recover shway shway if they want to bring Fadi fine

A team full of stars lacks chemistry.

The key of Champville's success is that they kept every single player with them and brought one additional import which sometimes they were playing with only 2 on court.
and now after Lee's injury they are starting the game with one import and then Jay comes in.
