even if they are bench warmers in the nba, that ups their resume to foreign leagues and help leverage more $.
that also helps other pinoys get exposure in the process.

Moving forward the NBA is a job market, Pinoys have to look at jobs in demand and not just star roles which even in America is hard to get for top lottery picks. Every team from contender-lottery are looking for these :
1) 6'6-6'9 players who can catch and shoot from 3, have the foot speed to guard the perimeter on a switch, and the strength to defend the post form a switch. While also having the ability to learn the defensive schemes. (Pj Tucker, Jared Dudley, and Crowder should be the role models )
2) 6'9-70 Rim protectors, rebounders who could also guard the perimeter on a switch while also being able to shoot (Ibaka)
3) 6'4-6'6 catch and shoot from 3, some playmaking ability, and perimeter defense (Lonzo/Dinwiddie )
4)6'9-70 Rim protectors, rebounders who could also guard the perimeter (Capela)
5) 6'5-6'7 catch and shoot from 3 with some defense (Korver)
There is a dime a dozen of scouring guards in the USA and lots of 6-7-6'9 scoring tweeners.
If a pinoy wants to get scouted they need to look at these in demand positions and build their profile around it.
NBA market is good for mid tier talent and journey men right now. Roles players are just as in demand as stars.Last edited by anon9000; 08-03-2021, 09:01 AM.

lol but when Givony praised Kai early on in 2017 Peezones aka Twitch back then and his alterdick nuthuggers considered his word as "gold", it was only when Givony critiqued Kai in the U19 WC and excluded him from mock drafts that they started "assassinating" Givony and other NBA scouts.
lol wala ng credibility wala pang integrity ... pustahan if snow badua will write a good article about Kai may "stamp of approval" kaagad ng mga nuthuggers iyan hehehehe

Chet is a very unique prospect. At nearly 7 feet tall with exceptional length he’s an agile, skinny and lanky center who dominates lower levels of play and is an absolute force as a shot blocker. His quickness and agility are outstanding and he’s got great anticipation and reaction as a shot-blocker and is very quick off his feet. But he’s painfully skinny and doesn’t have a frame that’ll add weight easily. Despite his lack of strength/weight he controls the paint on the defense end and is a legit rim protector.
On the offensive side Chet shows stretch ability and a lot of talent as a face-up scorer. He can shoot the ball from deep and has good handles and nimble feet, allowing him to get to the basket with ease. He’s got an easy, effortless stroke with 3pt accuracy and can also shoot off the dribble, which is really outstanding for a young 7-footer.
His 3pt shooting ability is a natural fit for today’s NBA and could be one of his primary ways of scoring the ball at the next level.
Chet is easily one of the top prospects in his class and projects as a likely lottery pick in 2022 with top 5 potential.
Comparisons
poor man’s Dirk
Marcus Camby on defense
Draft Projection
top 3 pick in the 2022 NBA Draft
Somehow he is already dropping on some mocks as I predicted. If his body wont improve next year, I predict he will further fall up to mid to late first round. His body would need multiple years to be ready. I dont know if teams would be willing to wait and gamble their lottery picks to that kind of player.
That Dirk on offense is achievable but he wont reach it on my opinion. Also that Camby on defense is a far stretch, Camby fluorish in the Era of bigs. The current NBA is weaker but somehow Im seeing that there is a resurgence of bigs once again.
Teams will be hoarding stoppers for Giannis, Embiid and Jokic. Chet's draft ranking would really be dependent on that body and as draft room said that body isn't really easy to develop same with what I said.
I do apologize for somehow thinking differently than most. I just see things differently and most of my takes were projections.
lol kamusta naman si kai? nakapasok na ba kahit sa top 60 man lang?

There was this group in Pacland that used to have usernames for everyone’s use. Kung alin gusto mo ipangtroll, yun i login mo. Feeling the same vibes here. Lol but seriously, can’t we all just wait a bit more if we don’t have any NEW argument to offer? Rehash na rin naman eh, nagkakapikunan lang in the end.Never look too far ahead. You might stumble on a block right in front of you.

On a side note. This is weird for me. As handles is generally harder to develop than shooting. Why after all these years Gabe has not developed a consistent shot? My theory is he intentionally limited his skillset so as not to attract extra attention on his citizenship like what happened to Asi and others. Think about it if he added a consistent outside shot, at 6'6, he would be like Lebron in the PBA.

Boomer Jock Landale has landed an NBA deal with the SA Spurs. Just like I posted in the other thread, It would be an achievement if kai plays the same level as jock coz the skillset is already there. he needs to improve on his motor and to be aggressive in defense.sigpic
