Even if there is no Dumper, they still have the main backer which is SMC. How many % is Johnvic"s sponsorship?
 
Tightly contested championship game between DLSU and ADMU in Davao last night. DLSU won by 3 avenging their 3-point loss to ADMU the other day.

Nelle who played heavy minutes was awarded mvp while projected starters Quitevis and Gomez did not play. DLSU was able to control the tempo and prevent ADMU from shooting threes.

It's interesting how ADMU has been very visible locally this preseason while UP has been secretive recently, contrast it to last year.

DLSU barely scraping against a much weaker ADMU team is not very encouraging.

how did vhoris marasigan, matthew rubico and rhyle melencio play for dlsu? is buensalida still there?

UP came from Serbia. Also bound for South Korea soon. they have already joined a lot of preseason tournaments prior earlier in the offseason.

kinda feels like espinosa's going to start for ateneo. Espinosa has been outplaying Gomez for a large chunk of the preseason.

I think only Marasigan played limited minutes among them. I think Policarpio didn't even play. Coach Topex seemed to treat it like a UAAP do or die game.

A lot of Nelle, Phillips bros, KQ, Escandor, Manuel, Nonoy, Austria and the import. Seemed like a short rotation.

ADMU meanwhile platooned in the 1st game, but made the lineup a bit shorter last night. But no Quitevis, no Lazaro and very minimal Gomez.

I think CT mentioned it, PG duties will be by committee. Gomez the veteran (for crucial), Brown if they need scoring and Espinosa a lot of the in-between.

The thing I noticed, all of their players except for Chiu, Obasa and maybe Amos have the license and ability to lead a fastbreak off a rebound. They are all capable ball-handlers.
 
There’s a rumor on Twitter that Bahay might decommit from UP.

In his interview after their Palarong Pambansa win, when asked on what’s next for him, he said he is focused on Sacred Heart’s title defense bid and after that preparing himself for UP.
 
Is Forthsky Padrigao a good fit for UST? I think it's a match made in heaven

Tab Baldwin and the whole Ateneo brain trust knew early on that there was a very good chance Forthsky will miss season 86. This was the reason the pg by committee was created. Garcia was outplayed by the new players but kept in the traveling squad as an insurance policy. Fast forward to the Kadayawan tournament. Baldwin wanted another championship but was more interested in preparing the team for the WUBC in Tokyo. The tournament only allow a 12 man roster for each game but the roster can change every game. Given this rule means Baldwin does not have the luxury of 4 Pg, 4 sg, 4 small forward. This is why he has been holding out certain players in games. He already knows their ability of Gomez, Quitevis and Lazaro and needed to see how Bongo and Credo will perform. In the first game, either Espinosa or Nieto sits, Bongo and Gamber also sits.
