UAAP Season 74 (2011-2012)

We ought to start recognizing Leo Austria..so underrated..coach of the year, perhaps...

He's a low profile coach who does not crave attention but gets the job done (ehem, Chot Reyes, ehem) :D

with the poor games of slaughter and ravena earlier, expect ray parks to play hard tomorrow vs UST and get those statistical points...the MVP award is given to the player who has the most statistical points at the end of the 2nd round (even from a non-final 4 team and there's no voting)....

Ang bilis ng KARMA. Hahaha!

Yup, mabilis nga ang karma. That's what they got for depriving Smart Gilas of the Greg Slaughter. With the system of Norman Black and their depth, they can still win the crown without Slaughter. Pero gusto makasiguro...... Pertron 2.0 is in the offing

Is that really how the qualification goes?
coz i remember when UST didnt make the final four and Jervy cruz was way ahead of rabeh in the MVP race, rabeh won his 1st mvp award. several days before the awarding, a paper was posted in the ust gym's entrance showing the mythical 5 and the leading player in sp and it was jervy.

I bet its so frustrating to spend a million bucks for a high-tech vacuum cleaner. Only to find it defective and not be able to do its job. When a cheap and lowly broomstick can finish the job better... a yellow one for that matter.:D

What a shot by Bobby Ray Parks. He saved the ball, But it just went into the hoop.

that crazy shot might have won parks the MVP award...wonder why coach eric did not take out parks even though NU had a huge lead...and parks was still attacking the basket in the last minute...trying to get more statistical points...

NU in the future is not just a final four team maybe a finals team.. specialy with mbe and parks is in the rotation for 3 more years.

Mbe is playing on a year to year basis unless he receives a better offer in Europe. As contingency for this, NU has two other africans doing residency.

Mbe will struggle in Europe. He cannot dominate here in the UAAP against centers that are 6"5-6"6 what more in Europe. I hope he dosent leave as he can be a vital part for NU's team next year

well obviously he'll not play a big man there since he's 6'7 to the max, when he goes to Europe I guess he'll play a SF or a SG role.

Suyod can be good but still would not help raise UP from shambles good players are not enough for the up mens bball program to be successful..

one must be committed not only in the basketball court but also in the classroom yet he will not receive the same benefits that the "richer" universities get

after all UP has a solid sports program overall except mens basketball:eek:
