UAAP Season 74 (2011-2012)

that's what you call an opinionated guess. :D

I dont know if i also predicted that same thing -that UST will be like UP.lol. But i remember someone even putting it on his siggy, :D
Well with DLSU,ADMU,NU and FEU before this season started were hyped...
UST gave many a surprise,including me..

Eindhow, you are good at predicting, what is your prediction of how far our national team will get? no safe answers.:D

lol I'll answer on the correct thread..

It was rspk who 'sigged' that..

For UST, I say they won't get past their first playoff game.. Though don't be surprised if they do go beyond that..

I dont know what game it was but when i saw a UST game, Fortuna has improved.
You mean they are the dark horse?..

UST performance can be a no surprised if that play of Fortuna as of late

Jeric Teng and Chris Camus have been very reliable all season long

and Karim Abdul

Tata should have complete the fab 5 (sorry KF you have still 4 years and long ways to go:D) the only downside of USTE is they are not that so deep as the fear of finishing in cellar dwellar is possible if one of these 4 play below expectations

better than the 2009 team where the team did not get the expected contribution from Khazim Mirza and Allain Maliksi to support Dylan Ababou

Hi Eindhow, proud thomasian here too...or Tomasino as it is now called :) you a member of the proboards yet?

Fortuna, for all his brilliance, has struggled pa so far this second round...probably a case of fatigue as he carried UST in his little shoulders during the first round plus he is reportedly attending sinag practices. good thing the rest of the first 5 has stepped up immensely so far. Karim Abdul is being dubbed as Jervy Cruz v2.0 and rightfully so as he is averaging 8points and 11 rebounds a game while anchoring a suffocating UST defense...Chris Camus is the total workhorse, it seems like he never gets tired and his hustle and intangibles are amazing...Jeric Teng, despite his still ongoing tendency to make the absolute worst decision on the court, has been as efficient as a heat pump the last couple weeks...Ferrer, inspite of a loooong shooting slump, has made up for it with tenacity and smarts...and of course, credit also has to go to Coach Pido for being able to bring out the best in his guys. hopefully the tigers are able to sweep their remaining games, feu and nu...with how they are playing nowadays it would be a disappointment for them not to. ;)

it was me.. :)

i really thought that UST's lineup will not be able to compete for the Final Four given that the other teams really upgraded their lineup. :)

its good to see that i am wrong. :)

I remember reading here that UST will become a cellar-dweller(?) this season.. I personally thought that they will be fighting a close battle for the last final 4 slot.. They are surprising a lot of people including the ones from their own school (ehem).. Good thing DLSU is crumbling and NU is struggling.. We have NU and FEU to go.. Hope we win vs NU.. FEU is a long shot but we were close during the first game, like what happened with DLSU..

ouch! :D

Like I said before, that's how he really plays.. It's just a matter of being comfortable.. And right now he is.. Though he is struggling of late he has been making his teammates better.. One particular development is Jeric Teng.. He has been playing good as of late.. Abdul is playing better and better each game..

Dark horse? Not yet.. Though I can see we can beat the ones in the 2 and 3 slots.. But NOT the no. 1..:(

Addition by subtraction honestly they should be feel pity to the Saint Benilde's bball program as they were deprived of having to recruit a legit prospect out of hs.. :D

Congratulations to UST! Wow great game for Kevin Ferrer at long last he delivered. Credit to Abdul, Fortuna, Camus and Teng! :)

Babye La Salle! :D:cool:

see you next season guys, i do hope we nail Tim Cone as coach for DLSU #wishfulthinking hahahah

Ah so you prefer Coach Tim than Coach Jong?

Hmm.. curious question, Do you think the triangle offense will be effective in the collegiate ranks?

coach jong system will work with DLSU. has bigs, has good guards and forwards. next year they'll be in final four. Adamson's time is this year so next year NU and DLSU will be theirs but FEU is still there. double hard time for DLSU to get on top.
