Marcus Camby, once a former New York Knicks, has expressed interest in signing with the team.

Camby open to New York return

The New York Knicks have signed James White to a minimum deal. White spent the last two years playing for VL Pesaro, a team in Italy's Serie A.

New York Knicks are expected to match the four-year, $28.8 million offer sheet signed by Jeremy Lin with the Houston Rockets.

It is to my personal preference that Jeremy Lin will stay with the Knicks. At the moment, the Knicks have every intent on matching the Houston Rockets' offer sheet to Lin.

Jason Kidd stated that he is happy to back-up Lin.

Fans are getting nervous about Linsanity to Houston.

NOT.

It's an easy match for New York for what he brings to the table. Lin might be a mediocre player (for some) but off the court effect is what you pay him for. Sure basketball reasons that's a bad decision, but you always do match (especially if you are big city New York!) in this scenario-- business trumps basketball reasons.

How I wish that a lot of Knicks fans share your insight. All I get from other boards are nervous bunches who predict doomsday.

Not at the biggest NBA board. They should match or it bites their franchise in the ass for years. You can not get a winning product inside the court at least give the fans something (or get something back business wise)

Steve Novak has re-signed with the New York Knicks for four years worth $15 Million as reported.

After signing Camby to a three year (worth 12M i believe)... so around 4M each for the 38 year old Camby and the one-dimensional Novak... Good deals?

The way I see it, the Knicks wanted Camby out of precaution where he could have signed with the Miami HEAT. Let's hope that Novak's three point marksmanship are on target for the duration of his contract.

i have zero problem with the Camby signing-- the deal is pretty cheap and Camby is serviceable. Heck you can even argue that he may even be a better big man than last year's Amare Stoudemire. Was it indeed a cockblock move against Miami? Surely, that can be considered.

Novak meanwhile... i guess New York has the money to overpay role players. i'd take Novak over a JR Smith too so i guess that's a step in the right direction...

NEW YORK depth chart so far:
Kidd/Lin
Shump
Melo/Novak
Amare
Chandler/Camby

Not a super team (read: Miami and Brooklyn) by any means but is a legit playoff contender.

And read just now... Knicks re-sign Smith to a one year deal. Around 2.4M i believe. Not bad a signing--- good value. Surprised that he did not try to find other teams interested first... Novak is getting more than him :)

The New York Knicks will officially match Jeremy Lin’s $28.8 million offer sheet from the Rockets as reported as late in Wednesday.
