Are the posters in PEX reliable , from which source do they make their basis?

They claim to be Gilas insiders who know most of the things we don't know about the team.

If their claims are true, then I now understand why Chot didn't give JF a lot of minutes in the Worlds and JF later decided not to suit for Gilas in FIBA Asia 2015.

No, they talked about those old news right after the OQT group draw. But yes, there might be PEX forumers lurking here in IBN, and that's how they knew about JF's situation 2 years ago. JPM is a regular there based from what I have seen.

France are the overwhelming favourite to win the qualifying tournament, but Henare said they cannot focus on them until after the Philippines contest.

"If we drop that one then we are relying on beating France to get through and that makes it even tougher. Playing the Philippines in front of their home fans is going to be a really exciting challenge. it will be a packed stadium. We will worry about France when we play them the day after and there will be some planning behind the scenes on them."

He said the Tall Blacks, who qualified for the 2004 Olympics in Athens, know they have a golden opportunity ahead of them.

"The boys know what is up for grabs and that it is an opportunity that not many, if any, of the guys who have played for the Tall Blacks have had the opportunity to play at an Olympics Games. For us it is that carrot that is dangling in front of us but we need to stay focused on our task which is extremely tough task." http://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/basket...henare-looks-forward-to-taking-on-tab-baldwin

now these are COMMENTS! you can't get anything out of him. no rude statements. no overconfident statements. there are just hopeful statements. There's nothing there that any teams can use as motivation.. He really learned well from COACH TAB!

My guess/bet is it's manu_bol moving over there because his reputation has already taken a hit here ;) That said, there are a lots of SMC loyalists there so good decision on Manu's part.

Wow, I never thought of it that way. What an excuse, then. Great players play through adversity, the rest don't. Simple as that.

See, PaVi was right. PEX posters got their news from IBN.

I am not sure if the details posted by those Pexers are correct but Mr. Analyzed's post from before made it clear that JF's spot was in danger of being taken by Belga. I don't know the exact words but it seemed to me they were saying JF had low BBIQ and was a slow learner. I'm too lazy to backtrack the posts. But Mr. Analyzed can set the record straight on how the Gilas staff thought of JF in the preparations for the Worlds.

Great initial group; but of course, even with any other draw, the SF/F is going to be tough.

We can handle New Zealand and we can upset France.

As for Canada...

Canada is beatable, they lack chemistry. They are all-talent, poor team work..
France is not(but from the news, Batum and Diaw will not be here to play. so... but still strong and cohesive).

imo

nice to see old-timers posting again.
na miss ko kayo. lol

"It's probably better than going to Italy but this will not be a cakewalk... I have very bad memories of New Zealand, for example." - Collet (French Coach)

Well, you'll even have a BADDER memory of the Philippines!! HAHAHAHA :D
ayy... WORSE pala sorry hehehe
