its normal fans reaction.Coach that won 2games in arrow against looked like invinsible barcelona, lost one against them and become useless

This why we are called fans,we want max everytime. If you will lose one important game everyone forgets what you did before.
But im the basketball fan from neither of these teams side, and my opinnion pedoulakis did very good job this season with panathinaikos. Its very hard to replace obradovic and have worse roster by alot that he had for 10 season.Barcelona has better player hands down here, but pedoulakis is outcoaching Pasquel.Even if barcelona will win thi series, nobody from here thought that barcelona gonna play with fire like they do now.
First of all let me give you a couple of facts concerning yours trully:
-I've never played organised bball in my life and thus i am a total amateur.
-I was partly excited by the fact that most of the roster and the whole coaching stuff changed during the off season cause i was tired of PAO's lackluster playing style over the last few seasons despite their successes.
-Early on i was very supportive of the new team despite the fact that the management went back on their word to build a new team for the next decade by failing to sign any real prospects for the future. It actually felt good to support an underdog for a change.
Moving on to Pedoulakis.
We have waited all year long for PAO to develop a comprehensive offense and stop relying on DD's p'n'rs and Lasme's hustle.
They still have only two main offensive options:the aforementioned 2 on 2 and the very innovative, give the ball to sofo and go wait in the corner...
I understand that apart from DD PAO don't have any EL level distributors but isn't that partly Pedoulakis fault?
We have heard praises for this hard nosed D the Greens play, but as i posted before this is a matter of will and athleticism not sth that we can attribute to the coach.Being unable to answer to the other benches moves in game is also a failure of the coach.
I mean, Pedoulakis has had some success choosing match-ups on the defensive end (having agile FWs helps a lot) but not being able to unlock a simple 2-3 zone is unacceptable.
Outcoaching Pasqual is not an accomplishment in my eyes.
PAO have one of the best Ds but also one of the worst Os in EL.For fans that are used to a high level of play, this is excruciating.
Anyway,i've already written that i wouldn't mind having him as PAO's coach next season also but i want to see him signing a couple of real prospects and giving the team an offensive identity.
To tell you the whole truth, this year's PAO was build to match up well with Oly and regain the local championship and not to win the EL.
This is sth that the reds were doing in the past seasons (building a team to defeat their arch rivals) but this a feud that leaves me totally indifferent as i do not harbour ill sentiments for the reds nor do i covet a cup that is sought after by only 2 out of a total of 14 teams.Winning it 100000 times certainly has sth to do with it also.
The thing is, though, that whereas last year's Oly gained offensive momentum through their stifling D utilising their freshness and athleticism by executing their offense before the shot clock read 15 in some cases, this year's PAO have taken the game back to an era that most true bball fans would prefer to forget;that of Maljkovic and Ioannidis...
Serves you right for hiring an old school Greek coach....
