Arwinds MVP is also actually an asterisk. He got it by being BPC of Govs cup. Stats wise and impact wise JF shouldve won the BPC. By playoffs time Arwind disappeared. But since he was a vet he won over JF.

Statswise JF has been the top nearly the top every year. He won the AFC. Which is the most prestigous of all the cups. Grandslam San Mig had a few players leading statswise. They were a balanced team, 10 players deep, and was more a defensive team. Its no surprise they didnt get an MVP because stats wise their players were not high.

If you had to put an asterisk on JF and SMB its two things. First, the gap between games is so far apart that you can getaway with just using your starters. Two: Hand check calls. He is allowed to hand check a driving player a bit. This masks his lack of lateral quickness. But statswise and impact wise I dont think you can really question his 5 MVPs.

When you think about it, the schedule of the second conference is perfect for fringe nba players like terrance jones.

Players who need game simulation to get their reps at the same time get paid, travel the world and get exposure. When NBA teams are starting to fill up their rosters, he can be an option as they have visibility on him.

If Jones becomes successful and gets back to the NBA, hopefully it opens a new route for young veteran nba players to ply their talents here in the PBA.

They seem to be playing a 5-out or a 4-out/1-in kind of offense. Opens the lane for terrence jones or castro penetrations. Hinges on the outside shooting of the entire roster, maybe that's why they hired craig hodges's services. Early results are positive, they shot the lights out against a decent SMB defense.

adding magat means more mobility to their frontline. having 6'7 shooting forwards troy and magat will force opponents to guard them outside.

magat trade makes sense as they need someone to relieve troy and kelly. i believe magat can play PF and C if necessary.

they somehow able to make cruz dispensable because of trollanos improved play, if magat somehow able to deliver in some games, they maybe able to not need a star anymore in rosario and be able to trade him for a need ( a bigman or a pg)

Tnt doesnt need a fajardo or cs to be that good, they somehow need what an alibpeek back then brings to the table that somehow troy cannot bring

i wish they get either isaac go or justin baltazar but the latter. if they succeed getting baltzar, tnt will be a solid contender for all filipino cup. tnt might not have a junmar or greg but they are a bunch of mobile bigs that can stretch the floor.
