I don't know if it has been asked here before but where is Joseph Terso now? I know he still has eligibility years left for him.

caught the tailend of FEU-NU game, the euphoria over a final four entry is indicative that our failure to medal in FIBA is inconsequential; the sky has not fallen, we are not in basketball purgatory and no penance is needed

don't tell a junkie the economy is bad. as long as he can get his fix, who cares. one long post in NT column even spouted the party line/slogan - "we still have the best players in Asia" ... ah, ok, so that would explain all the hoopla

A 6-7 sinewy African basketball newbie with import-like double-double stats shows that we still have the best local big-men in training. This explains our predictable loses to the African team playing in Asia (Qatar). Our local big men are all playing lousy to mislead international scouts.

Team assists FEU - 9, NU - 23, FEU loss, NU - win
Romeo 25 pts. go figure

hint, Romeo did not dish out the 9 assists

In short, Romeo was a shootingbwakaw? :D

Terso started playing for Nu in 2007 should have been in the nu lineup because he forego his 2008 stint for the youth team.. but NU needs Alolino to grow..

really? I thought he went to the UAAP at the same time as those in the RPY U-18 team (RR et al), thus giving him at least next year

just like mark lopez Terso was already a sophomore when he was chosen by franz..

but one thing is sure he should be eligible by thi s year and he was cut to the team already like Robby Celiz and almost for Glenn Khobuntin

This is the problem of FEU, they have two crocodiles in the court named Garcia and the biggest croc of them all, Romeo. How can they win?

In the controversial 2nd round matchup of FEU and NU, FEU could have avoided this replay game had RR Garcia passed the ball to a wide open team mate.

haha..nice one DT..

well, that nine assists clearly says what type of game they are playing. evident with the previous game they had wherein RR settled for the lay-up instead of passing it to hargrove. i know for sure he saw the time winding down. that game will surely haunt him if FEU won't have a place in the F4.

hargrove was supposed to dominate our local bigmen due to his strength and athleticism but the limited touches he got really hurt his game.

well, it takes one to know one.

Now the bigger picture for our bigs, time to tap Asi's aging cellulites for the national cause.

With the retirement & impending retirement of our extra beef guys (a bit more muscular than the extra rice), Espino, Menk, Asi, Bolado, Balingit etc, the current crop of emaciated 6-7 & up big men should be put under a sumo-training regimen supervised by the aforementioned extra-beef guys.

Escoto, Almazan, Sanggalang, Opstal, Rosario et al., should undergo neophyte training, fraternity style to toughen them up. Going through the "tunnel" comes to mind. Appeton should also sponsor our young bigs.

Houston has its Phi Slamma Jamma, we can call this exclusive club Dina Papa Mama with the battle cry "Never Again"

Prime Kirby would have been a good match up for Bahrami, wonder what happened to the Kid.

OMG!!! They're either black, yellow or white. It seems the brown ones are weighed down by massive tails. Teng is homegrown but Sino, other homegrowns must work hard to be more than just circus attractions like Lolong. Anyway, stats don't tell the whole story. Hard to pad stats at ADMU for instance.

OMG!!! We're becoming Qatar 2.0

right the heart and pride he had in that game but suddenly lost in 2009 (although I cannot blame him he laso had his moments in 2009)

I think he got injured after the 2007 tournament and never recovered.

not to mention NCAA's current crop...happi, babayemi and adeogun have played relatively well.

At least they've raised the level of competition. They make the games more interesting. Take those players away and you might as well hand over the championship trophy to the more well funded teams.

^^ the level of competition was raised, but only among themselves. if we define pure pinoys as the "brown ones" then sad to say no one from that color has his game upped, IMO.

Or the team with an awesome juniors program like SBC.

I wonder why crabs who want to ban foreigners don't recognize that if they take away the foreigners, strong teams will just focus their attention on their juniors program or will just send out scouts across the US to recruit fil-fors. My point? There's no point in trying to bring a good recruitment program down because their recruitment program is not just about recruiting foreigners. It's all about recruiting the best available players.

Take Arellano for example. Instead of bringing teams with strong programs down, they upped their recruitment by recruiting 2 Fil-Canadians and having one foreigner in residency. They'll be very strong next season.

having foreigners in the collegiate leagues shouldnt be a problem as long as they play because they were students. they should comply with the academic requirements to play and must not have exceptions.
