Kyle O'Quinn brought instant energy, hustle and shooting, helping Knicks cap a run.

7 time all-star. The man they called "The Horse" was the epitome of tireless workaholic around the glass. He battled the likes of George Mikan, Ed Macauley, Dolph Schayes, Clyde Lovelette and Cliff Hagan enroute to 7 all star game selection.

Named one of the 50 NBA Greatest Players and enshrined in the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame. Perhaps the greatest rebounder during his prime when the NBA had not seen Bill Russell and Wilt Chamberlain yet.
 
Porzingis dunks and putback slams dominate the Knicks highlights of the early season. No boos there and a pity for the supposed Knicks fans who jeered when they drafted Porzingis.

When did we all get so sensitive and pussified ? The fans reacted to an unknown with a franchise that had a poor record drafting. It's his job to earn cheers by his play. Patrick Ewing has posters ripped up and thrown on the court during a game in his rookie season. You can't take it that personal.

These so called fans in the age of the internet jeer first instead of collecting resources that is available everywhere. While there were no assurance of how Porzingis is turning up, Knicks fans will be happy to be proven wrong this early that Taps will not be a bust.
 

Highlight was that dream shake leading to a fade. He has a nice and smooth shot from three.
 
Derek Fisher was fired after a 23-31 record. Kurt Rambis is the interim coach.
 
Jimmer Fredette is back in the NBA after being called up and joining the Knicks roster officially. He has been grooving with shots and handles in the D-League, also showcased a bit of improved defense while at that.
 
Knicks acquired Derrick Rose from Chicago in exchange for Robin Lopez, Jose Calderon and Jerian Grant. Bulls finally triggered the inevitable and NY was too happy to oblige.
 
After Derrick Rose, Knicks signed Joakim Noah, plugging in their immediate need for a workhorse around the basket.

This is good news for Melo and Porzingis. Both will be given a lot more room on offense, since there will be a strong rebounding and defensive force inside (if Noah stays healthy). The rim protection with Noah-Porzingis would be a huge asset to that team and help them stay in games better this year. Also Porzingis would be able to stretch more. Could work out as a great add for Knicks if he can stay healthy in the next few years.

Good point on the health factor. Both brand new additions must remain healthy for this team to reach the playoffs. Knicks are loaded once more, much like the height of the Amare and Melo era, a few seasons back.
 
Turns out that the reason for Rose's AWOL status was a family issue back in Chicago. But Rose is back with the team now.
 
Watching the game tonight just made me even more frustrated at seeing Melo waste his incredible offensive abilities. He was flat out unguardable at times in this game but New York yet again lost because he refuses to play off the ball due to his unbelievable ego. He could be like Iverson in '01 if he ever grew up and played off the ball rather than dominating it but I doubt he ever will. Shame for both him and the Knicks, who unfortunately thought they could build a winner around him.
