The Junmar Fajardo Thread

You don't no anything about Cesafi basketball dont you? Slaughter won the championship coz UV is a powerhouse team, loaded in every position from guards to their center. While UC only have Fajardo and one reliable scorer during that time. Which team do you think will win? another non-sense issue brought up by you without knowing anything about Cesafi. LOL

Fajardo should play one against 5 :D

let's ask this question first

@sir galj/killmebusy: have you seen Junemar play?

I remember alot of posters here before are like you guys, but when they saw him play suddenly they have a change of heart.

anyway, comparing GS to JF is like comparing apple to orange(well according to sir nardy).

GS is more of a complete player(do it all center)
while
JF is more of a scoring center

Honestly I haven't seen Taha, Sanggalang play but if we do have an abundant of Tall young guys in the Ph then it would be great for us.

PS.
"would he beat out sangalang, torres and van opstal for that roster spot?"
Just ask Norman Black, Rajko Toroman, MVP and Noli Eala.;)

And I will give you another thing to think. Let say fajardo and slaughter are not on this school. UC for sure will not make it the final four but for UV? Well, they have just won 6 straight championships before Slaughter arrive. Do you get my point? Slaughter is just lucky that he is surrounded with good talents on that team while Fajardo wasn't. Now compare them.
You discounted the teammates of Fajardo!!! I agree during first year of Slaughter in Cesafi theres a lot of talent like Mepana,Luga,Berame etc.but during the second and third year don't think so.I remember 1 shooting player from USP was able to play for UC for his 5th year in cesafi.Think the team line up were balance. So hence Slaughter proved that he can win a championship with his leadership while Fajardo doesn't.At the same time he proved that hes better because of that accomplishment. As what the other forumer said that we have to consider the other factor not only the individual scores.

That's me. I thought he was all hype but after I saw him stamp his class in the PCCL I became a big believer.

This guy is for real.

powerhouse? but once greg left they lost too...so who is better? if greg were still playing in the league last year would fajardo have gotten his title and mvp plum? yeah, i don't think so too. yep, i do not know a thing about the cesafi league...i'm all about the uaap/ncaa...
Now you are really a goat. Did you know that in 2009, Fajardo and Slaughter are co-MVP of Cesafi? And did you know in 2007 Fajardo is not around coz of an injury that is why Slaughter just won the MVP easily? And in 2008 UC didnt even reach final 4 but still Fajardo is the dominant big man in the Cesafi. It is only in 2009 that Fajardo get a good back up scorer in Moncrief Rogado that is why they have reach the finals against the powerhouse UV team? Now you know. If I were you, just focurs on your UAAP/NCAA team coz you don't know anything about CESAFI at all. :D:D:D

how about his team in NCRAA/CAACUP/NAASCU/NCAA South? :D :D :D
tough to please, right?
he should go to Cebu and watch CESAFI games.
i'm more than willing to show him around. :p

yeah. and now he is comparing Fajardo to Taha, AVO and Sanggalang. Lets break this one down.
1.) Taha - What is his NCAA average?
2.) AVO - What is his UAAP average?
3.) Sanggalang - This one is a bit good comparison coz right now, Sanggalang is playing really a good basketball with the help of the Beast Calvin Abueva and Pascual. But if he don't have this two, I don't think he would be scoring that much. It just made his game so easy coz the focus is not just on him with Abueava and Pascual around.

Sama tlga ng taste of comparison ni Killbusy aka Galj.

Sama ako Cap. I will be the one taking down notes from both of them---jotting down how many midgets Fajardo has played against :D

This killbusy guy is something... :p

If you just research enough before dishing this forum... or better, have an open mind...
I believe the last time Slaughter-led UV bagged the CESAFI crown, he somehow admitted that Fajardo is better than him or to that effect... Something to this effect >>> "He (Fajardo) may be better than me (Slaughter), but I got the last laugh with the crown..." something to that effect...

Now, will you still say that GS is way much better than JF when even GS himself somehow admitted otherwise?

I believe this guy is good and has a lot of potentials than the other Biggies now at his height range... Just to think of it that he get his skills/dominance in just a matter of 4 years? or so...

However, I also have reservations on how well he can get his teammates involve in the game... ala Gilas style...

Well, we'll see for ourselves how good he is come the ABL season... Surely, nobody could question the quality of big men he will be up against in the ABL, right? JF plays 5, we know who plays 5 in the ABL teams.... or maybe KillBusy doesn't... :D :D :D :D

The 1st test of Fajardo would be tomorrow against the Lithuania Team in Universiade games. We all know lithuania is a good producer of good bigman.

You are wrong Sir :D Fajardo is all hype ;). He ain't got the skills to make it in the big leagues. And Sir Ramon Fernandez was just lucky that he didn't have any big men opposite him during his time :D

LOL!!!! ALL PBA ballclub wants him to be in their team and Ramon Fernandez uses footwork and skills in his time not his height to become a legend..

this guy's skill still remains to be seen(we'll for us here in Manila who hasn't seen him upclose). They might say he's better than Slaughter but I guess Slaughter is really smarter than him because Greggy boy makes the most of the oppurtunity that comes his way.Not to mention the championships and the international exposures. All I can say is his handler's brain is "ampaw" for not exposing him and his tremendous talent.I wish him the best and I hope he could get away from the claws of his stupid handlers.

Dont worry Alex, from us who have seen first hand when He and Slaughter battle before in Cesafi can say that Fajardo is much better than Slaughter. Ok?

If you are amaze with how Slaughter played in the UAAP right now with Ateneo, you will be superbly amaze if Fajardo happens to be the one playing for Ateneo. You can easily say who is the better player by just watching the way they move and position themselves if they really want to score. Slaughter had a difficult time positioning himself against the small PBA players and can't even get around the H-Bomb Hatfield. While Fajardo positions himself well against Dorian Pena or Mick Pennisi when he played in an exhibition game against SMB. This is where SMB people see 1st hand and was impressed on how he played.

There's no bigger Honor and Glory than representing your Country!...

It takes precedent over your little Country (Cebu), or any Organizations...

And what other people are telling you...

Some people even value the Honor of their Country, more than their lives!...

To represent your Country, and get paid doing it...

Bobo lang tatanggi sa pagkakataon na 'to (widen your horizon, not all people are wife beater) listen and talk to other people!...

What stopping you!...

Unless your IQ, and your EQ is as big as your foot!...

Junemar's handlers are molding him into a good person and a good basketball player. They're not rushing things up for Junemar, step by step they are making him a complete basketball center with a good footwork, good post-up move, good jump shot, and good defense. I know most of posters here are not happy of the handlers of Junemar for not lending him to Smart Gilas, just ask MVP and Ateneo in the case of Greg Slaughter. And also, where are they those people who now wants Junemar Fajardo of that time nobody wants him to be in their team and nobody is willing to train him?

Using the Smart Gilas National team for pirating players for their Alma Mater!!!

most of us managed to see Nonoy Baclao hold his own against ABL imports as a fresh-graduate out of Ateneo. if Fajardo could do anything against the likes of Kyle Jeffers, Jason Dixon, or Nakiea Miller... he's "The Kraken" alright. we'll just have to wait and see.

Slaughter has had some playing time against Asian, American, and European bigs. expect him to be a much more refined center once he's done playing for Ateneo with Norman Black there. Fajardo has been playing against 6'3 Cebuano centers all this time in his amateur career. who is Mon Fernandez kidding?

Noy Baclao who? Is he the #1 pick in the PBA who warm the edge of the bench of Petorn? Did he hold his own against Jeffers, Dixon and Miller? :D In what way? Just look at his stats in the ABL for God sake. Are you blind or just totally no brainer at all. :D He don't even log in 15 mins a game then you will say he hold his own against those people. LOL.

Now Cesafi centers. 6' 3" is your number right? Lets talk about CESAFI last year. No Slaughter around. UV still got Adrian Lao who is 6'6" and 6’7” Andrew Avillanoza , USJR got Jan Malinao at 6'5" and the other center also at 6'5", SWU has Rene Pacquiao and Maguate at 6'5". Now you know. :D
