The Junmar Fajardo Thread

Even if he is playing against undersized centers at this stage, I still think that Junmar's stats speak for themselves. Marlou Aquino never dominated in that fashion before when he was hailed as the best big man coming from the amateur ranks.

A 35 pt 20 rebound performance is not even a fluke because Junmar was posting the same numbers all throughout his career. He is less athletic than Japeth but he compensates for that with his ability to position well inside the paint on both offensive and defensive sets.

I don't think we have ever seen any homegrown big men who have had such dominating stats as before.

I am predicting as early as now that Junmar will be part of Smart Gilas or Team Pilipinas competing for an olympic berth in 2011.

time will come when he will graduate from the UC----the school officials sucks. .im pretty sure that he will play for us after he finish his studies.:) .

hmm I guess cebu and Don Ramon just wanted to let everyone know that they are also capable of training high quality ballers. And Ihope that in due time Junmar will make his fellow cebuanos proud by showcasing his talent in a competition that matters the most...... FIBA

i really hope he tries it out with gilas. our country needs a big guy with his skills..

From what I have seen so far his physical development is coming along well even at his young age. He has a sturdy body with broad shoulders and this normally translates to a natural upper body strength. He has full coordination and soft hands that enable him to score easily from afar and also down on the blocks. The downside is his short arm length but we'll see whether this is a mere exaggeration on the part of some observers.

While it is hard to teach young big men the art of rebounding Junmar has the natural ability to grab those balls. Yes, he is often times the tallest player in the game but he has shown similar abilities when ranged against Greg Slaughter. He has also proven that against quality big men like Rabeh Al Hussaini.

I am very excited to finally get a glimpse of this young man's game next year when he is finally integrated into Toroman's system.

FIBA big men are way ahead (superior) than PBA big men... Its the exact oposite of your opinion bro...

Please take a look at ME teams ie (leb, jor & Iran) this are all world championship bound teams... all experienced and knows world class games (reality chaeck for PBA Bigs, where is it right now?...;)

Its good that JA will experienced this in FIBA sanctioned games...

Well Middle East teams has also domestic league to play for and hone their skills, for me Japeth should play in the PBA and in the off-season let him play for the RP team to test his skills against international bigmen..

if JF allowed to play with Gilas then he might be available by least march of 2011. enough time to blend with teammates and get accoustom to toroman's playbook.

pakita ang pgkagahi sa mga cebuano.dli lng ang dila gahi asta pud ang lawas

Ramon Fernandez was qouted that Junmar has to finish his studies this year but he is allowed to participate with the national team in 2011. I can't remember which online resource I got that from but that was a direct statement from Ramon Fernandez who is the most influential handler of Junmar right now.

if its true then thats awesome.. as far as i know he'll be graduating next year march.

sorry if there are JF fans here..but to see is to believe..if the boy really has talent..so what?he can't even get out of his cage(his school).Just like the PBA..what's the use of your God given talents if you're not going to show the world what you've got.Junmar might be good for some people here but till he makes it in the RP team,he's just an urban legend.

i would just like to ask whats the height of the center of the opposing team sir?:D
i have only watched him once in a game. bet. UC VS.UE in televise game on studio 23 on PCCL. .i think he scored 24pts.13rebs.3blocks. yata.:D

yeah because there is no one who stands above 6'5 on the other side and the tallest players on the opposing teams is not even on the caliber of a noynoy baclao
