nah, put romeo in the bleague or kbl and he'll make fans forget belangel and abbarientos

All I need is to look at Parks, Adams, Kiefer, Greg, Wright and Cabagnot to prove this notion wrong.

KQ is just the latest UAAP player being recruited by international groups. I think its safe to say the UAAP, with an unlimited height FSA all year long and rules probably closer to Fiba, has an environment closer to international competition. I think we should gradually move out of gulang basketball. Its a bit embarassing that players who went from college and skipped the PBA play better internationally than many PBA stars.

Well... many foreign scouts wants some Filipino players, even in the PBA... Did you remember some rumors that Scottie was recruited by some NBL teams too... or Junmar in CBA... Even Pogoy and Rosario was lured by Japanese ballclubs but all of them declined because they are still under contract by PBA teams... Foreign teams just picking amateur players rather than PBA players here because they have no contract obligations yet..

Too many people confuse 2019 Romeo to 2024 Romeo and think it's the same player. Tbf to Parks, he was a wing at the UAAP just 'coz it's a matchup nightmare... but in Nagoya, their local players lose spots if they use him like how he was in TNT.

Well, Old Cabagnot and Washington still getting offers abroad... Romeo can do the same if SMB somehow release him in the future... Even old James Yap still getting rumored offers overseas...

quiambao’s game should be a blue print for future wing players..

Romeo is like, someone who will give you 3 straight very good games, then gets sidelined in the next 12 games becoz of injury. If Romeo is a jet fighter, he'll get the label as a hangar king.

Not just the wing players. Everyone who is above 6'2" should take note of his skill set. Too many Jervi Cruz types of players in PH.

KQ, Dwight Ramos, Calvin Oftana and Will Navarro-types should be the standard for our future wing players.

Whatever happend to the 6'6 "guard" from Tiaong that wiped the floor with Ateneo? Wasn't he serving residency at CSB? There are a bunch of young players taller than 6'2 that grew up in the free data age whose coaches at the barangay level spend way too much time on youtube.

Back in my day at barangay level, there were coaches who were obviously frustrated players and nice at pickup games that tried bullshit copying early 90's US NCAA Div 1 defensive schemes but had no set plays on offense because at that level, it was all about talent. Even KQ's barangay games show how basketball is too easy for him to just sit in the paint and do Shaq impressions.

Another good thing about KQ is that he is an efficient scorer. He is not a volume shooter. He also gives effort on defense and is a good passer.

Big change from the past UAAP season. He shot around 40% in that season. The defense and passing stayed too.

I would have to give credit with having Howard and other good ball players around him. Basically he just needs to shoot an open shot. He doesnt need to create.

Nice to see Balti finally getting more minutes. Howard with 25mins only.

4th quarter clinic by SGA.

Tiu and Goorjian putting together a small-ball lineup with Balti and Roberson as bigs alongside Moore, Heading and KQuiam that pulled away in the 4th.

I'm just curious, why Howard ,& Blatche were riding on the bench in the last 5 mins. of the game? I think with about 5 mins. left in the game, hindi pa safe yung lead ng Strong Group.

It was KQ, Balti, Robertson, Moore & Heading who were on the floor in the last 5 mins. of the game.

But you're right k3ttch, it was the combination of KQ, Bslti, Moore & Robertson that SG pulled away & coast to victory.

Balti finally making a 3. He really needs better competition. Dwight was rested early because there is a game the day after. Credit to the small ball group that they kept the lead without Howard.

Blatche from what I know sustained a “hyperextension injury to his ankle” which is why he didn’t come back after being subbed out.
