Possible, since Yao ming would probably miss this tournament because of injuries, his legs could not support his wide frame body anymore. I think he'll be retiring from NBA and in the international competitions.

Hahaha! All of the sudden many are inquiring about tickets of SMART GILAS games. Bobolahin pa ako that they just want to give support to Gilas. Sorry but It would be difficult to get FREE TICKETS. These NBA Allstars are not coming over here FREE, the organizers have not decided yet on the ticket prices but am sure it would not come cheap.

I just don't like the idea that PBA players will play as well.
If ever PBA will play, I really really hope, it will be guys who already joined Gilas then just add players from MVP's stable.

Since it is Chot Reyes who is working on making this event happen, we might finally see Talk N Text's Alapag and Williams in Gilas uniform. Meralco's Taulava would surely be there. With Air21 already eliminated, Hontiveros is free to join the team. I would not be surprised that we see Chot Reyes and Ryan Gregorio acting as Assistant Coaches of Rajko Toroman in this particular series of games.
with the NBA names mentioned (Bryant, Durant, Rose, Iguodala, Griffin, Love, Westbrook, Cousins, Evans) its practically half or 3/4 of Team USA that is set to play at the London Olympics. Gilas being competitive with these guys would be a very long shot unless these NBA Guys are on a "vacation mode" when they come over. We have to be honest that we are not even near their level.

With the NBA allstars coming, I just hope they give pointers to the SMART GILAS players on how they can further improve their game.
Japeth Aguilar getting even a fraction of Kevin Durant's aggressiveness and confidence would be a welcome change. But if he can the kind get of the scoring and rebounding numbers of Kevin Love, that would be awesome. For him trying to imitate Blake Griffin dunks all game long would be entertaining however it might be risky as he could get injured.
How about Jvee Casio getting pointers from Derrick Rose. Could Russell Westbrook or Mario Chalmers help Mark Barroca be less error prone. It would be nice if Andrei Iguodala finetuning Mac Baracael's game.
How about DeMarcus Cousins teaching offensive moves to Jason Ballesteros.
I wonder who would be the Gilas student of Kobe Bryant.
There's a possibility the Miami Heat's Erik Spoelstra might become the NBA Allstars' coach as he has also set to comeback to Manila at the said dates long before this said series was thought of.

GMA7 was given a chance to promote SMART GILAS but it did not go the distance which it could have .... so now they'll join ABS-CBN in the sidelines.
Being a MVP event expect Kapatid Network's AKTV of Vito Lazatin to cover the 2011 Philippine NBA Allstar games on TV but am not sure if it would be shown on TV5 or at the blocktime owned by AKTV on IBC13. We'll also see FireQuinito active covering the event for Interaksyon.com.

Sabi na nga ba who ever will come it would be a win win situation for our complete line up has the possibility of playing together, at least pampatangal takot If we get beat by 20 points or less that would be an excellent sign 30 points well they beat china by 30 points if w get by 50 well they beat Angola with such.
