Coach Chot has expressed that potential replacements for Kuya would either be Denzel Bowles or Air21's current import Michael Dunigan. He's no longer pushing for Javale anymore (Thank GOD!). We'll probably have a better idea at the end of this conference who he'll eventually pursue.

Good Prospects... We should really have a backup plan just in case a very unfortunate thing might happen to marcus ( ex. burnout or injury ).

with dunigan's performance last night, i think he deserves to be considered as the next naturalized player of gilas. i always believe that what we need is a 6'10-6'11 natural PF for a naturalized player. this i think can somehow solve some problems with our available local line-up: 1) will solve our undersized, stretched PF spot (i.e. 6'5 RDO, 6'4 ping, 6'6 kelly), 2) will provide a chance for junmar and greg to play together as Cs.

dunigan's offense is as good as his defense. got to improve more on his jumpers, though.

how old is the guy? and what's his official height?

When he played for the Memphis Grizzlies its reported that he was born July 2, 1989 with a height of 6-10 and weight of 245 lbs.

Is MVP lobbying another naturalized player? If yes, will it be in time for FIBA Asia?

nope .... Marcus is our man, if ever its for contingency and future reasons.

After the senate just disapproved our candidate for naturalization for our women's national basketball team, we find it now very difficult over there with Zubiri no longer a sitting senator and Trillanes very much active as BAP President.

Health!!! :)

Yes that is a concern, maybe you guys did not realize that Talk N Text are very lax with Kelly's extended vacations before coming back to active duty. He is a very hard working guy but he is still a HUMAN BEING and his physical limitations are so much extended to the limit compared to others due to his blood ailment. As I said his Health Condition come June and July will be the biggest factors to considered in deciding for his inclusion to the Final Line-up.

I will go out on a limp and say it's more feasible for Jap to play center than Fajardo play PF. I aslo think this idea of matching-up size wise is exagerrated, Look at Korea- they practically only use 7 footer "Ha "for like 20 min , most of the time it's the 6'8 " (lee) who plays center with wide body (6'6") "Oh" playing PF. the scenario of facing two twin 7 footers in extremely limited. (maybe China and iran for a 10 minute stretch) . but more than often intenrationally you will see more of a 6'8 mobile / athletic type center (e.g.Abbas, lee) who you will be matched up against. that is why Williams or Jap skill set is actually more vauable than a slow footed 7 footer (Greg, JF)

Japs can play Center and JuneMar can play Power Forward ..... but it will take time, could not be done overnight and unfortunately cannot be accomplished by August. However it could be done, its very much possible thru hard work and practice.

Thanks sir Nards for reminding us why we shouldn't vote for that guy... >.<

I don't get our politicians. What do they have to lose if they pass these naturalization bills?

Jesus Christ they are already stealing millions if not hundreds of millions from their constituents. Can't they for once in their life, do something that will make the Filipinos happy? Is it too much to turn a blind eye just for the nation's sake? Or are they too accustomed to being paid for everything already? These @ssholes' souls are already burning in hell as we speak.

Don't worry.. All it takes to pass a law are positive media exposure, a good lobbying team, lots of cash, and some good luck.

Win the FIBA-Asia and naturalization becomes much easier...

Jay, your post reminded me of one Congressman who said that we already have one Naturalized Player let him win first a Championship first before we talk about Naturalizing more, that is after we lost the 3rd place game to South Korea in Wuhan and a lot of Congressmen who approved the Marcus bill were greatly disappointed about the result.

Are you insinuating that I think like a Congressman? :p
