Why not both? I see Chot dropping one of Fajardo or Slaughter and be deeper, and more versatile, at the PF-C spot. But if it comes down to it... Would rather see Ping because he's not a liability at the line. You can of course make a case for Kelly who's more of a stretch 4 so really it's fine whoever makes it.

on Pingris vs Williams
-I think both could play aggressive defense may it be on the dribble or at he post.
-both are undersized PF's but Williams has a 2-3 inch height advantage on Ping.
-on rebounding they're almost the same Pingris might have a slight edge on this.
-Both are athletic..though Williams might have a slight edge.
Now here's the difference:
-Williams can shoot the occasional three point shot
-Williams has better dribbling skills than Pingris
-Williams can play both smalll forward and power forward position.
-Williams has more experience playing international basketball.
Remain to be seen:
-who's better in guarding 6'9-6'11 guys.
-Who can better guard Lebanon's 6'9 SF naturalized player.

I think you know the answer to your questions. What ping does on the defensive end is almost equal to Kelly but on the offensive end Kelly is superior not to mention Kelly is 6'7

Hmm, based on the skill set description provided by Ping and Kelly, I don’t think Chot’s decision is either Jap vs Ping. or Kelly vs jap, both provide a different skill set (one on one defender vs rim protector who has an outside shot) . If Chot’s going to decide based on the 2 week Lithuanian camp/tour. I think that scenario fits Jap’s skill set more (he does impress in camp like situations) , followed by Kelly. Ping will have a hard time showcasing his skill set in that scenario, for one he lacks the international experience vs size and familiarity with the DDO, two his skill set of rough “down in trenches” warrior type defence is hard to showcase in camp like environment (that’s a skill set demonstrated in a best of seven series environment) , especially if your not blessed with great length but are undersize. This reminds me when super defender Bruce Bowen went into camp for team USA, it was really hard to appreciate his value over a more natural with length defender like Tysun Prince. I think the odds are against Ping to be chosen over Kelly or jap (who provides a different skill set)

We'll have our own preference and Chot really is in a good place since he can't go wrong with either.
A year ago we were choosing between an inconsistent Barracael and an immature Aguilar, so yeah loving the fact that we are having a debate on which potent player to choose from. Speaks of our improved pool depth.

Coach Chot has expressed that potential replacements for Kuya would either be Denzel Bowles or Air21's current import Michael Dunigan. He's no longer pushing for Javale anymore (Thank GOD!). We'll probably have a better idea at the end of this conference who he'll eventually pursue.

with dunigan's performance last night, i think he deserves to be considered as the next naturalized player of gilas. i always believe that what we need is a 6'10-6'11 natural PF for a naturalized player. this i think can somehow solve some problems with our available local line-up: 1) will solve our undersized, stretched PF spot (i.e. 6'5 RDO, 6'4 ping, 6'6 kelly), 2) will provide a chance for junmar and greg to play together as Cs.
dunigan's offense is as good as his defense. got to improve more on his jumpers, though.
how old is the guy? and what's his official height?
