Its not only in Basketball .... a lot of corporate sponsors we had in the past have now declined supporting sports teams and events. Even the San Miguel Group is very selective on which teams or events they are to support. When you approach the different Multi-National Corporations, commonly being said is that its the Group of MVP that should be approached and not them.
Its really sad as fewer and fewer could afford to help and I see at some point in the future there would be a saturation point for MVP being a Sports Philanthropist as more and more sports are becoming more dependent on him for assistance with the Government decreasing more and more of its financial backing in sports.
Due to the fast changing technology, sports is increasingly becoming more expensive to maintain. The Philippines not being a rich country financially is affecting our growth in sports as we are having a hard time keeping pace with the rest of the world.
thats the sad reality though. i am thankfull mvp is giving full support to the sport i love the most. i've got nothing to complain.i'll just be thankful.
