Serbian team is scary so far.
They gain momentum game after game by crushing their opponents in a convincing way.It looks like their chemistry is off the charts aswell.
Just a note..i trully wish Milos could work on his athleticism a little bit.Imagine the possibilities. He is by far the most intelligent PG in Europe.A true artist and very enjoyable player to watch.

He is deceptively quick, but not strong. He will not put on muscle because it will degrade his quickness. For him to be an all-out monster he needs to try on defense much more and improve. For example today he was excellent on D, taking good positions etc. When he tries he is not terrible on defense, and can help. There are other games when he is just a fucking whole on D.

Of course he makes up for it on the offensive side. In terms of intelligence, passing ability, court vision he is No.1 in Europe, no-one comes close.

Serbia won all games in the most difficult group playing good basketball. By far the most convincing team of the tournament and absolute favourites.

Raduljica has heard Nation's messages :D. We finally (from game with Turks onward) started to utilize our centers, so we're dangerous both wide and on post. And yeah, Teodosic is back on pilot's seat. While he's there sky is the limit.

I don't like Serbian teams, but I have to admit this team looks pretty impressive playing at its limit. They seem to have peaked at the right time this year.

Guys, I was one of the posters here, saying that Bjelica is great, but if I had the choice and had to assemble a team for myself, I'd go with Printezis and I'm not ashamed of that or opposing to overheated posters, calling Bjelica the best PF in europe there is after every good performance with Fener, either.
Might be a personal preference, might be a matter of bball philosophy, however the responses of no freaking way and not in this lifetime were just as exagerated as putting Bjelica on some semi-god throne, as we all could read back than. They're two different types of players, both great at what they do. Some will prefer the stretch options Bjelica provides others will value the energy and hustle.
And I'm not Oly fan btw.

CoachZ - I have to reply to that long debate where we talked about raising players for the NT (I haven't forgotten about it just have too much of a material to write it all in 15 minutes) and Italians in the NT definately apply to some of those systematic issues as far as raising players go. I don't think Italy is badly coached, might be wrong and there actualy is a way, however there are just too many simmilar players there, that somehow can't get along when put on the floor at the same time. That's why, purely from the systematical aspect I liked Italy in 2013 with Datome and Gentile as their leaders (+Belinelli) more (with some reservations about their shot selection, as ussual). Only thing they lacked was a bench.

Regarding Bjelica, I would take him over Printzesis to start a team with no budget. I love Printz's hustle and overall player quality and I think it is extremely close. Bjelica is a hustler too, what separates him for me is that he is also the best point-forward in EL and can create so much. I like that quality. People forget that he even played as a point-guard early in his career under Pesic and that helped his development a lot.

I love Bjelica at SF as well, he can easily play it and be maybe even more successful and a mismatch. That would just kill the teams that want to go small ball, since he can move and defend, and on O very few can match up. There is no use talking about it though, he is an NBA player now.

Exactly, I love Bjelica as well and would miss some of his stuff when having Printezis on the team, however it's not as far fetched comparison as some posters were trying to portray, that's all.

Printezis is nowhere near skill wise compared to Bjleica, Bjelica has guard skills playing at PF, he's doing way more work than Printezis on the court for his team . I respect Printezis he's a great player , excellent in the clutch situations, but he's not better nor more talented player than Nemanja.

with your coach we are medal contender, with our coach i pray to achieve QF and to get ticket for preolympics' tournament not more!

34 minutes for gentile, thanks our dumbass coach!

Della Valle,Polonara and Melli must play more minutes today

There is only one ball on court and you can't be a succesfull team when your whole starting lineup wants it for themselves. What I would do as a coach of Italian NT is to balance out the full rotation with two strong units and make them work. Why play Belinelli, Datome, Gallinari and Bargnani st the same time and for 30+ minutes everygame. That will never be an efficient system, and their individual talent will never shine.

I will give you an example of Serbia. For example Individually for best players we shoukd field Teodosic, Bogdanovic, Bjelica at SF, Erceg PF and Raduljica as starting five. That is just insane, three ball would not be enough for them, they all crave it. Who will hustle, play D. Too many egos in a lineup. So what we do is First Unit, Teo - Markovic - Kalinic - Bjelica - Kuzmic where we have strong defense and tempo to set the edge and Teo and Bjelica as pure Scoring threat. Second Unit is Nedovic, Bogdanovic, Erceg, Simonovic and Raduljica. We also mix and match but never field Bjelica, Bogdan, Teo and Raduljic almost, very rarely maybe because of fouls. This way your level of play doesn't drop in rotation and all egos get the ball. Noone play crazy minutes, they all average around 20-26 our core of 9 players (Simonovic and Milosavljevic arohnd 7-8, Mikutionov just a few.

You have similar talent and depth to do the same. Put complementing players on the flor. Gallinari, Belljnelli, Cinicarinni and some one else down low. Gentile, Bargnani, Datome! Hackett other unit. They would still get a lot of minutes but be fresh and whoever is on the floor you can be strong.

i agree with you,i think belinelli and gentile can't play together many minutes for this reason, because both want the ball on their hands!
