I would say yes to Vladimir Micov most def, but Greece is a huge basketball nation with so many players.

I think we will never agree on this, we are both right and wrong i guess. To me Clehethas is like Makaleb. They are products of some others no matter how much patriotic stuff you put into this case.

This argument about "basketball products" is meaningless and nonsensical. Seikaly was a pure Greek basketball product and he had to go play in Team USA. It really has nothing at all to do with that.

Macedonia wasn't the country that requested naturalized players to be allowed to play for the NTs. Personally I am against that, but every small country should take the opportunity. Its not cheating if its allowed.

Kelati is overrated, and Wright is underrated. Kelati can play some good defense, but he's rather inconsistent on offense. Besides Teletovic, Wright is the only player who can play well against good teams. So that's that.

I can tolerate players who have some sort of connection to the country they represent, it's the full blooded americans who couldn't even find the country they're representing on a map, that I have problem with. It just makes NT competition lose a part of it's appeal and special atmosphere.

exactly . I can understand players that either have roots in the country they are playing with or are foreigners but borned or lived and learned basketball in that country . But some american that probably didnt even knew that country existed playing for their national tram is plain wrong

You know there is a big difference between someone with Greek roots that wants to play for a team his parents or grandparents came from and learned for that country its values and traditions at home from its Greek parents from an American that probably didnt even knew the country that plays existed 3 years ago. . In Israel's case you can't really say that we naturalize just like any other national basketball teams in Europe.
It's a little bit more complex in the state of Israel,Alex Tyus for example is married to an Israeli woman,and he has been playing in Israel before he was naturalized.
Alex Tyus has discovered Judaism,Judaism isn't a missionary religion which means you really have to work hard and show you are capable to follow the rules of Judaism,after it you just might be able to convert to Judaism.
Our last player who became naturalized was David Blu which was a Jew from the states,which means that he can immigrate to Israel and apply for citizenship,and that's what he did,because he is Jewish he has the right of return,as I wrote before in Alex's situation is a bit more complicated but he worked hard to convert to Judaism and he deserves to play for the Israeli national team.
In countries like Georgia for example they can naturalize a player immediately and they don't have to present explanations,the best example is Ricky Hickman.

Yep, I can see it's different thing. It's like robbery and murder, different things but both wrong. I am very happy that Finnish law are so tight on this thing. First you have to live 5 years in Finland (have to spent here more than 6 months in year), then you have to pass language and cultural tests. And I can say that you have to understand Finnish perfectly to pass the test. And that's the way it should be. There are few Americans who has spent 10 years here, they are married for Finnish woman and their kids are Finnish but they haven't got passport. They can get all the things that Finns are getiing, they are living just like Finns but they can't play in our NT. But their kids, like Huff and Lee Jr can. Fortunately.

Our country doesn't need to work hard to make someone its civilian,Alex Tyus is the one working hard to be an Israeli civilian and to be a Jew,unlike Christianity and Islam Judaism isn't a missionary religion,you have no Jewish roots and you want to be a Jew you have to work hard in order to prove how bad you want it.

As I said before naturalization is more complex in Israel rather than in other European countries and I'm standing by my words,there were a lot of promising foreign players in played in the soccer league in Israel, few of them asked for citizenship and only the slightest handful recieved one,how would you explain it,and those who tried to earn it had to face a lot of bureaucracy,Israel won't give to anyone which is not Jewish a citizenship, because Israel is the land of the Jewish people,therefore, if you are a Jew from anywhere in the world and you apply for citizenship you will probably get it, that's all.

Ethiopian Jews are not foreigners, what so hard to understand, they are Jews just like me, there are Jews in Israel from Russia,Yemen,Persia,Iraq,Poland and Lithuania as well.
Our country arranged a journey to bring them to the land they always aspired to live at, if you are not knowledgeable then don't just write nonsense.

When somebody wants to become a Jew he has to want it bad,because if those who are in charge of converting you to Judaism will find out that you don't follow rules of Judaism you will simply won't be able to convert, the process here is not easy, it's like saying one phrase in Islam or signing files in Christianity.
