I havent got a positive look for a NBA player. For me if he comes to Europe, he has to stay independent from lock-out. He must be permanent for team. Also when you buy a player, who doesnt have any idea about European basketball, can be useless for team. So I dont look for an American player. For example, as I know agents offer Jason Kidd to Efes Pilsen, but we didnt accept it. As a result we are not trying to save the day. How it looks like from there but Efes Pilsen mentality slowly return back ;)

First of all,I was talking about a FA..not someone who is obligated to go back the minute the lockout is over..
Second,if the player has a decent++ basketball IQ,he won't have a problem adjusting himself to our basketball..but I guess it depends on the coach and whether or not he's used to working with American players..

Besiktas (sorry if I am spelling the name wrong) is very close to bring kobe bryant to Turkey and to the club.

It seems that they have find the way to pay the 1million euros per month for his contract but I have to say something.

YES that would be the greatest transfer from NBA to Euroleague after the D.Wilkins in 1996.

But who the hell wants a player even if he is one of the best names/player worldwide, just for few games on his team. And I am saying that because as soon as the lock out ends in NBA Cobe will go back to states.

So all the plans of the Tureky team must change for the rest of the season.

Personally I would disagree about that transfer if I was Besicta's fan.

Either you coming to play for the season or don't come at all. That's my opinion.

And I was talking about my team strategy, whats wrong with that

It is not important to sign the player that has a decent basketball IQ. Clue is which decent player adaptate European basketball and our team.

Not dollars..? I think dollars...

By the way, they just want to get more attention from media and other people, like with AI they got all eyes on them..

I meant Lopez. You know what I mean. Chris Quinn cannot lead a club like Khimky. Sorry, but now some of the Euroleague fans here are starting to sound like NBA fans.

That any awful NBA player can just waltz into Euroleague and lead a team. Apparently, the forum has been flooded with NBA fans since the lockout.

Yes he is. But without Huertas, there is no quality PG in the market. I like Gordon but Efes needs a real PG. I really dont know what Efes will do with Tunceri and Balbay in PG rotation.

is efes continue only tunceri f4 is dream

Maccabi agreed terms with guard Yogev Ohayon (1.87, 24) for two years.

After D.Wilkins?? Well, i'd say it's gonna easily be the biggest transfer of all times.

This might be the stupidest move, but as a simple bball fan, I don't care, they can pay 5million per day. Besiktas wouldn't use that money more logically anyway. It's much better to see D-will and Kobe together in a Turkish team, than seeing a 34-year-old once-good football player getting paid more.

It would be interesting to see Kobe togehter with Williams in Besiktas... I only hope they'd move to some bigger venue than. It would be weird if they stayed in their 3000 seated venue with all their spendings :)

Chris Quinn won't cut it at the Euroleague level. Khimky proves that once again they just throw money around and waste it.

Chris Quinn is nothing but a 13-15 man on any NBA team. His absolute best case scenario is as a 3rd string NBA point guard. Even the Eurocup is full of better point guards than Chris Quinn.

He is absolutely not good enough for a club like Khimky. If they think he can replace Marko Popovic (one of the best point guards in Europe) then their managers are seriously smoking the good stuff.

Quinn is much better than you're making him out to be. He takes tremendous care of the ball, plays smart on both ends of the court and can stroke the three. Offensively he can play both back-court positions and will definitely make life easier for his teammates. In the NBA he couldn't guard anyone and was often behind some of the top guards in the league. Athleticism isnt great.

At his time D. Wilkins was never considered to be the best player of the league, well Kobe was (maybe still is despite the age). Even if I am not a Besiktas fan I admit that Kobe playing in Europe is the biggest thing on European basketball history so far. He's definetly one of the top 2 players in NBA history along with Jordan. I think Bird, Magic, Iverson etc are one step behind these 2 players, but still one step better than Wilkins.

Edit: Besides this is not a transfer from NBA to Euroleague because Besiktas is not in the Euroleague:D

Donetsk announced Ivan Radenovic

And seems like UNICS still has hopes to keep Popovic. Their president said that they offered decent contract to Marko even till the end of last season, but his agent wasn't satisfied about 1 condition and since then there was no answers from him, but UNICS still waitin'...lol
I wonder why the hell they needs another guard

100%. Quinn can be one of the best G in Europe.
