News for the 2006/2007 season

Yes he signed his contract with Panionos and he already gave an interview on sportime.gr!

Panellinios agreed terms with Dror Hajaj and Pantelis Papaioakeim from AEK and is very close to agree with Pete Mickeal. Stefan Nadjfeji extended his contract (old news), Dimitris Tsaldaris left the team for Aris.
The team from Kypseli also lost two players they were interested in - Giorgos Kalaitzis (Panathinaikos) to Aris and Hollis Price (Alba Berlin) to Caja San Fernando.

Maroussi extended the contracts of Kostas Kaimakoglou and Vassilis Giannoulakos.

Will Mulamerovic re-sign there, any news about this? If he will, it will be interested to see him working with Mickeal - both are a very good players, but both loves to have ball in their hands in offense, as well as being an offensive leaders off the team...
Also, Boumtje-Boumtje situation looks interesting to me - he was really good last season, and even bigger clubs (like Barca) made some noises about signing him. But for now nothing happened...
And last thing - are there any rumours about Dylan Page, who had a succesfull 04/05 season in MENT, then signed for Panellionios, started the season well, but got injured. Does anybody remember what exactly did happen to him?

Mula still has a contract with Panellinios, the club doesn't seem to want him on the roster for next season though and tries to find a solution to end the cooperation. Hajaj is supposed to be the backup PG from what I've heard, while coach Pedoulakis is looking for an US player as starting PG, one name for that spot was the one of Hollis Price, who decided to sign in Spain though, the search continues now.
Mickeal still didn't sign yet - he seems to be close to agree terms though. No idea what's going to happen with Boumtje-Boumtje or where Page went (I think he signed in another european league) tbh.

Page didn't sign anywhere - he left Panelliion because of an injury after 9 league games (where he did play well). I am wondering what kind of injury it was and does he have any chance to be bring back to Greece...

Sorry, I don't recall which kind of injury he had, I also didn't hear his name in any speculations from Greece yet. Maybe somebody else knows more?
Panellinios is also said to have agreed terms with a US PG but didn't announce the name yet.

As for other news: Aigaleo signed german Björn Schoo (C/2.13m), who played for Northern State in the NCAA last season. The Skyliners were also interested in this player according to rumours but he decided to play in Greece in the end.

Info about Johnson is quite shocking for me.
He is a very big talent offensively - he is very hard to defend 1 on 1 and has a great shooting range. He is after small university (Rider) and he was posting a big numbers there. He came to Poland to average PLK team Polpharma and was posting big numbers again - http://www.e-basket.pl/?podpoddzial=125&zaw=7879
Of course nobody ever expected any defense from him, so I don't know how he will fit in Greece.
He was also very unstable and didn't know how tu use his natural skills, his playmaking skills are especially not good, at the end of the season he had a game when he shoot 16 times for 3, only making 3 of them.
I don't think if he is ready to Panellinios level yet (looking at level they were last season), but if he will finally find a good coach, who will be able to learn him and persuade him to play "the right way", IMO he can become Mire Chatman player down the road. But there is many players who had similar potential and didn't make it - it's hard to say for now in which group J.J does belong...

For me this news also is shock !!! I know that Jerry talk with Anwil ....

Is this official info? Where is this news? Newspaper? Site?

Yes it's an official announcement. I'll translate it for you:
Panellinios has announced the signing of a contract with american play-maker Jerry Johnson.
Then it gives some information about Johnson (age, height, stats) that you probably already know.

One more thanks good man :)

olympiada patras anounced steve bart jr.he is a pg 23 years old.
Steve Burtt Jr and he is not a PG - he can handle a ball a little bit, but first and most he is a scorer and a very good one. He is small (180 -183 cm), but he's build like a tank, is very good slasher, good shooter and pretty good defender too. He is from small program, but he can be really good...

can somebody post Aris roster so far?
maybe with more detail information - players' age, last years' club, nationality, position

Here's the roster so far (hope I made no mistake :p):

Position / Name / Height / Nationality / Year of Birth / Former Club

PG Terrel Castle 1.82m, BIH-USA, 1972, EWE Baskets Oldenburg
PG Giorgos Kalaitzis 1.95m, GRE, 1976, Panathinaikos
PG/SG Spyros Panteliadis 1.90m, GRE, 1977, AEK
G Dimitris Tsaldaris 1.94m, GRE, 1980, Panellinios
G Nikos Orfanos 1.90m, GRE, 1982, - (?)
G/F Giorgos Sigalas 2.00m, GRE, 1971, Panionios
G/F Vlado Petrovic 1.99m, GRE-SCG, 1977, Montepaschi Siena
G/F Simonas Serapinas 1.97m, LTU, 1982, Zalgiris
PF Mike Wilkinson 2.04m, FYROM-USA, 1981, Wisconsin Badgers
PF Dimitris Charitopoulos 2.07m, GRE, 1983, -
PF Panagiotis Karavanas 2.10m, GRE, 1984, Ilysiakos
PF/C Kevin Fletcher 2.07m, FYROM-USA, 1980, Slask Wroclaw

Made a question mark behind Orfanos as I don't know if he'll stay. I also don't know what's up with Asimakopoulos but I don't think that he'll be on the roster for next season. Players like Orfanos (if he stays), Charitopoulos and Karavanas will only see very limited playtime anyways, especially in the Euroleague.
