Thank you khayye Ahmad!
A question, how old is Tarek? Above, you said 15 are you sure? cz if thats true then the guy do have a slight chance to become one of the best pgs in few years!
And who is better btw the 3 pgs ? Tarek,Walid or Yahya?

basing on all info im gathering, our U18 NT is going to be loaded by very good guards (Tarek Merhabi,Costy Coudsy,Yahya Raad,Walid Saoudi,Karim Jadayel,Ramy El Amin,Ahmad Ibrahim if he joins ...) but the biggest prob we r going to face is under the basket!!!!!

As I remember Tarek didn't become 16 yet but I'll make sure to ask him soon.
To be honest, the 3 players are Combo Guards they can all score efficiently from everywhere, but Yahya Raad is the only true PG among them, Walid is more a Shooting Guard and Tarek is a Rony Fahed type of Point Guard.
And I mean by true point guard that Yahya is the best among them in running the team and setting plays and making great assists, he is the best all around player, but scoring wise Tarek and Walid are better.
But we should not forget that Tarek is the youngest.
I guess the situation can change soon if he continues to work so hard and try to be more athletic like Walid.

Dany did you watch any game for Bilal Tabbara? I heard from some Riyadi's youth team players that he is good and some of them even said he is better than Tarek Merehbi (I hope so he is 15 years old and 185 cm and plays 2-3 if I am not mistaken).

This is the big problem we have. very short guards and a 185 cm player who plays on position 3!!!

The 185 Cm Small Forward is only 15 years old. and for an under 18 team guards at 180 Cm are not so short, Ali Mahmoud and Rony Fahed are not tall guards!!! and yet if Ahmad Ibrahim joins then we would have a 198 Cm SG/SF so it would be great.

Bilal Tabbara

Bilal Tabbara!!! This guy was amaizing back in 6th Grade:p:p.
We were both in I.C.
I remember him during Recess, he was a monster and nobody could stop him under the basket, he was a pretty good shooter too.

I hope he still is, I heard he is getting a very good individual practice as well as his practice with Riyadi.

Bilal was on the U16 NT roster but Coach Paul Coughter sent him out.

Yes I heard about it along with other players from Riyadi 2 or 3 others and 2 from Tarek Merehbi's former team in Tripoli.
And I heard it was not due to their level but because he had to get players from other teams!!!

the problem is present even in the forward. you cant play on high levels with 190 cm forwards!

i know , but right now we have Ahmad Ibrahim (6'6) and many other players who stands taller than 190cm (Aboudy El Farekh,Cyril Massaoud ...)
I'm talking specifically about the centers cz the tallest btw them is 200cm and its Paul Iskandar maybe.

anw don't miss guys the semi final games this saturday on OTV , many talented are there like Costy Coudsy,Julian Khaweja,Aboudy El Farekh,Cyril Massaoud ...

Anw in the real high school regional tournament (Mountain of Lebanon) , Champville lost to NDL and MLS won over Central so NDL (Louaize) will meet MLS (Mont La Salle) in the finals.

--------------------------------------------------------

The latest results shows that Champville is unable this year to dominate the high school competitions like they used to the previous 2 years. They had a formidable team with Vincent Akl,Ralph Akl,Khalil Aoun and the rest whom graduated last year.

There were good school teams in the past like Saint Georges Zalka, St Joseph Cornet Chehwan, and IML... what happened to them???

In North Lebanon, Freres led by Tarek Merehbi won the tittle defeating last years top team Rawdat Al Fayhaa led by Yahya Raad who was the top scorer in the night with 38 pts.
The game ended by 2 pts, Tarek had 34 pts in a dramatic game that they were leading by more than 10 until Raad marked an impressive comeback to tie the game but again Tarek had the last word and got crowned with the title.
