USF was beaten by Gonzaga 71-67, Michael Williams finished the game with 21 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists..

Delladova is only a sophomore and will likely play point the next two years.

Had USF won over Gonzaga, it could have been USF vs. St. Mary's for the West Coast Conference Tournament finals. It could have been a fitting battle between Holt and Williams, battle of fil-ams. We can then determine on who's the best among them.
 
End of 1st half, Gonzaga is leading 39-34. Stephen now has 6 point 2/3 3PM-A..

if he would try out for Gilas,I think he'll be playing the off guard position. That's if he's better than Tiu or Lutz.I hope they join the RP team maybe in 2014 together with Michael Williams and Ray Parks

It would have been great to see at least two Fil-Ams in the tournament. Brickman and his LIU team have already secured a spot.

Gonzaga's up by 9 with just a minute remaining. I don't know if the Gaels' non-conference record is enough to get them an at-large seat in the NCAA tournament. They have another game against Weber State on March 11, but I don't believe Weber State's record is good enough to pull up SMC's RPI.

based on their schedule, the No. 7 St. Bonaventure (16-13, 8-8 Atlantic 10) hosts No. 10 seed La Salle (14-17, 6-10) in the opening round of the 2011 Atlantic 10 Men’s Basketball Championships.

The passing skills and court vision of Long Island freshman point guard Jason Brickman (San Antonio, TX/Clark) have made him a fan favorite across the league. In NEC Championship Game,Dished-out 8ast to established a new NEC freshman single-season record for assists with 172. Despite playing just 22.8mpg, he ranks First in the league with 5.4apg and also in the conference in assist-to-turnover ratio (2.83).

MORAGA, Calif. -- Rob Jones had 20 points and 13 rebounds Friday night, lifting Saint Mary's to a 77-54 victory over Weber State as the Gaels improved their resume for the NCAA tournament selection committee with their 25th win of the season.

Mickey McConnell added 15 points and eight assists for Saint Mary's (25-8), while Clint Steindl had 13 points, all in the first half.
Trevor Morris, playing in his school-record 121st career game, led Weber State (18-13) with 13 points.
The Gaels used a 20-2 run to build a 36-20 lead with just over 4 minutes left in the first half. Steindl, who came off the bench for the third straight game after losing his starting job to Stephen Holt, made nine points during the run, hitting a trio of 3-pointers.
The game, a late addition to the regular-season schedule, came after both teams had been eliminated from their conference tournaments.

Michael Williams Named to 2011 Zappos.com All-WCC Tournament Team

Williams Scored Game-High 21 Points in Semifinal Loss to Eventual Champion Gonzaga

(Las Vegas) - Sophomore guard Michael Williams capped an outstanding sophomore campaign with a spot on the 2011 Zappos.com West Coast Conference All-Tournament Team as voted on Monday. Williams scored a game-high 21 points in a tough 71-67 loss to eventual champion Gonzaga in the seminfinals.

A 2011 All-WCC First Team selection, Williams led the Dons in scoring at 15.0 points per game, converting on .448 from the field, .413 (69-167) from 3-point range. The Southern California native ranked in the top-five among WCC leaders in scoring and 3-point field goal percentage. His 69 3-pointers are the second most by a Don in a single-season since Ali Thomas knocked down 75 in 1997-98.

Williams made the game-winning free throws in USF's 83-81 overtime win versus Colorado (11/20/10). Williams turned in a big day in the Dons' 50-48 overtime triumph against Montana (12/12/10), scoring 23 points with 13 rebounds in 42 minutes. Williams turned in a career-high with 26 points in a 69-57 win against Hampton (12/30/10) and had 18 points on 6-of-11 shooting vs. Portland (1/20/11).

Williams is the first USF player to capture WCC All-Tournament honors since three Dons earned selection in 1998 when San Francisco secured its lone WCC Tournament title. Damian Cantrell(played w/ TNT in PBA):D , Hakeem Ward (MVP) and M.J. Nodillo were the Dons selected.

No St Mary's in the NCAA Tournament. The NCAA committee's decision-making is very questionable at this point. Colorado had some wins over top-50 teams and did not make the Big Dance. Harvard faced its toughest schedule since its basketball program started and were just seconds away from getting the Ivy League auto-bid. St Mary's almost defeated BYU and Jimmer Fredette earlier this season and had an excellent conference record. I guess we'll have to see them all at the NIT instead. And at least we still have that Jason Brickman (no relation to Jim) kid of Long Island to root for.
