His team lost their centers to graduation, Ray is now the 2nd tallest in their team but he plays as a guard. He is now their go to guy. If he keeps on improving the college scouts would really be monitoring him. At least now even if the US Basketball officials consider him for their team Ray and his Dad know that the Philippines considered him first.

Michael Palarca played last night against VMI (they beat kentucky the other night)

Only played 19 minutes...3 points (1-5 fg) 3 asst. 4 TO 2 steals....

Ray Parks will be coming here for toroman's camp....

If Ray Parks can spare time from his busy sked in the US hope the other players would also give importance to this national endeavor.

No. 21 looks at first taller but in the picture the Head of Jon Selzer is tilted upwards (observe that his neck looks longer than the rest) while Gian Chiu is facing downwards.

still the same, no. 21 has his head tilted upwards whle Gian's head is the other way. But it seems Gian still has a lot of baby fat. Just hope his weight does not affect his agility.

Hummm.... No. 21's neck is a little bit longer than No. 55 don't you think? I might be wrong:D

And only Gian had this smile of confidence as a starter for the team.....the rest....I am not sure.....:D

^Well, less of your neck will be visible if your head is tilted down. Either that, or Gian has a bigger head :D

#21 is so darned thin.

one thing you can notice, they are all wearing the same adidas shoes.:D

^

The coach ergo the school is sponsored by Adidas. Individual players are not allowed to be sponsored by shoe firms like in the Philippines. Their uniform and their shoes are either supplied or purchased from funds coming from Adidas. That is how they do business in the States. Lucky schools like UNC gets their whole athletic program sponsored by the same shoe firm.

actually this is also done in some schools here like Ateneo and La Salle who have alumni boosters which have strong connections with the shoe firms. Like last UAAP season, it was also Adidas who sponsored both the Green Archers and Blue Eagles.

I look for Gian Chiu to have these stats that are not preposterous and a subject for him to exceed

5.8 pts per game 7.3 rebounds per game 1.2 blocks per game 11.8 mntsprg

Likewise, straight A's.

if he had double digit on rebounds his stats wouldn't be bad at all
