You're living in your own fairy tales. Saras' name is being brought up every offseason in Tel-Aviv. Maccabi has enough money to spend. It just won't overpay players. It has offered Langford 1.1 mio USD. That shows that MTA has money. 400.000 is not the limit, of course. It is the price Saras could command in Maccabi.

The team will add a player that can help it. Imho Saras can help a lot on offense. He makes things work. Depending on who is the starting PG, he is welcome to Israel. If it is a player, who plays 30+ mpg anyway, Maccabi doesn#t need Saras. But if it is someone, who would play 20-25 mpg, Saras could help.

(plus , saras is not an euroleague's level player since 2 ys)

Should I laugh or should I cry? He was the x-factor on a Final Four team a couple of months ago, then he has guided Lithuania to the Olympic games. Not an EL player, my ass... You are really living in your own dreams.

Wrong information. He has an offer from Gala, less then 1.4 M$, and he didn't sign.

Slow, no athleticism, doesn't have anything special...
But hits open 3's well...

This deal is just good for İlkan Karaman, he will get much more playing time now,
Ergin Ataman doesn't like giving chance to young Turkish players though...

Maccabi was close to sign Gordon 2M 2 years deal, but then Gala came with way batter offer 2.8M 2 years, and Gordon never looked back.

gs can't play in el, unfortunately union olimpija cleared its debts.
gs was expecting olimpija to get a ban from euroleague to take a play-off place.

I really don't see gs suceeding this year. They dumped all the worker type players.
Now they can play with all the wannabe frontpage guys. Just like Ataman wants.
No youth development, narrow rotation with unspecial players.
Probably he thinks he's Zeljko v2 right now. Just like Ufuk Sarica felt these times last year.

He just preys on chaotic situations like last year's. Where others were down his t
eam was good enough to rise up.

I don't see that suprise factor working out this year.
Eurochallenge champs shouldn't be Turkish champs.

Is that sure? AFAIK they cleared debits with 3 players, no now they can start building a team.. but more money is needed to play EL and I think thay have a deadline sept20... but I might be wrong.

Olimpija received a deadline to clear up Fiba's blockade untill 20th july, now the club is waiting for further procedure to acquire the B licence, basicaly those are supposed to be a formality.
That's untill the club will be again on the verge somewhere in october, march and of course normaly, the next june to september all over again as we're basicaly used of it
The club's communications are disastrous for the past few months, so sadly I can't really say anything more than some wild guesses.

don't get me wrong, i really like maccabi.
it was directed in the financial "attitude" of maccabi.

i really don't think maccabi is poor in any way.
