Efes needs a scorer SF (arıza biri tercih sebebidir-someone crazy would fit better) who can score 20-25 when he wants.
I would sign Sonny Weems if he is healthy...

But seems like Efes management think Sinan and Birkan are enough as backup and dreaming of F4...
Sinan is a harmful one, if he gets 8-10 mins it's OK,
Birkan is not experienced yet, 8-10 mins with him also OK,
But giving 35-40 mins to Birkan and Sinan and dreaming of F4 is just pathetic...

Gotta agree with you on Sinan, he over uses his "aggressiveness" and probably takes more 3pt shot/min than Vujacic. But he's a typical Mahmuti guy. Birkan might turn out to be a pleasant surprise for this year, still, even if he did, he has a limit (for this year) and that is not f4.

I was actually hoping for Victor Claver but Blazers did too, I guess :)
I'd pick a european 3 or someone like good old Domercant.

Is it only me or Europe is lacking some tough 3's these days?

nope, it's thee most loaded position...and easyest to find good fit. especially since most coaches prefer athletic, role players who play good d, fill corners, make screens...and there are bunch of guys like that playing in us or europe who can fit in this.....but if coach looks for some talented guys who can create things that's very hard to find this days, atleast in europe

Vujacic is the first and best option of those four but especially he would be very weak at SF defense.
Gönlüm also would be very slow at defense and his offense would be even limited.
Güler maybe the best defensive option but on the offense he's very limited.
I don't even count Şirin he's way too inexperienced for Euroleague level.
As a result the weakest spot would be SF and I am expecting that opponents would score a lot from this position against us. At this point a balanced SF (offense/defense wise) is a must.
Even though he's a good player I think that Lucas is the worst move for Efes since we already have enough guard rotation, instead of him we could have signed a proper SF so the roster would be at least balanced. I really see no logic behind this.

I still believe that we can find something "better", someone who suits better in the current team.
 
Any news about Shawn James? Is he definitely staying with Maccabi?

I have a lot of respect to Turkish basketball, but I have no confidence in Turkish coaches. Mahmuti achieved nothing in European basketball, and till proven otherwise - in my book, Efes is not a real F4 material.
