Beijing Olympics preparation games

The joke is too obvious. If anybody feels necessary to write any comment longer than one line about the "statement" above, joke's on them.

Then again, if Petri Virtanen gets hot, nobody will remember Lithuanian shooters... and then Siska took the ball away and ate all Finns (except Rannikko, but then again he goes to the Army in early June, so let's see if he will be fully prepared. If not, the game will be a massacre).

Sorry for off-topic jokes. Lithuania is not playing any preparation games against Russia?? I thought that was almost a tradition...

I think we know it's a joke. ;)

Well, the truth is that in these types of games, the "smaller" team has so much to win and nothing to lose. If the players look good, they get more opportunities in the future. If the team looks good, they too get more opportunities.

Of course I would bet for Lithuania, but there is always a chance that Finland will win. Those "smaller" teams wait like hyenas, and they jump when they smell meat.

Maby it's because we'll play at the same group with Russia in Olympics.

If I remember well, more or less preparation schedule was announced before Olympic groups, and it was already clear, that we won't play them. if I'm not mistaken ;)

Las Vegas - A good place to be especially when the millionaire players got money to burn! Afterall, Team USA players deserve some R&R after a long NBA season.:D

i dont mind the friendlies, btu training in different locations in such a short time is going to be a problem not only for team usa but for toher teams as well. it should be noted that some countries have thought of bringing their own food to the olympics. its been discussed and reported before but, with this uch movement and even if the players eat the food they bring(or not) theres a likely chance theyll want to rummage around town and find the other places to eat. that movement and intake of local foods is going to disrupt their body like no other....just trust me on this as well as robbe or anyone else who has gone to china, you will go thru your baptism of fire a la "explosice diarrhea" mine was for about 9 days or so of constant watery fluids mixed with ovaltine or nestle chocolate milk chunks. it wasnt a pretty sight and neither was the smell; and i pitied my roomie at the time who had to use the bathroom after me.

What a f...? This is too much. I was thinking Lithuania will have first solid opponent in Monday against Portugal. Let's hope it just was a horrible night for Portugal.
Portugal scored 2 points in 18 minutes for a 37-2 run from 26-16 to 63-18 at the end of 3rd Q.

LOL...:D

Reminds me of a border crossing trip a took 12 years ago from Arizona to Nogales, Mexico. I wanted to try some authentic Mexican cuisine while I was there. Bad choice. My stomach was f*cked for days, ruining my entire trip.

I'm surprised the Russians didn't move their training camp to the Russian Far East. Vladivostok is a lot closer to Beijing than Moscow is, so from a logistical standpoint it would seem to make more sense. Hey, I'm no expert in the affairs of Russian basketball, so they obviously have their reasons for training in the capital.
