2012 PBA Governors Cup

Rain or Shine's immaturity showing last night vs. Ginebra. Last two games vs BMEG and TNT will tell us a lot if this team is ready to win it all. (i doubt they survive a playoff game against any of TNT/Gin/BMEG if it comes to that)

there are so many possible scenarios still left so hopefully ros does not have to go thru a playoff game...chan was just off target last night while mc47 was absolutely en fuego!

Yes. Games tonight will decide some of those scenarios (Go Petron :D)

Toroman: ‘No offer to coach in PBA for now’

Amid speculation about his future with San Miguel Corporation, Rajko Toroman said he hasn’t been offered to take over the helm of one of the conglomerate’s basketball squads.

“As far as I’m concerned, I am consultant at San Miguel Corporation,” Toroman told InterAKTV in a telephone interview. “There’s no coaching offer for now.”

Toroman, a former coach of the SMART-Gilas Pilipinas national program, acts as a consultant for the Petron Blaze Boosters in the PBA and the San Miguel Beermen in the ASEAN Basketball League.

SMC executive Robert Non said in a text message that the company has not yet discussed the possibility about Toroman taking over head coaching chores for any of its teams. Apart from Petron and San Miguel, SMC also bankrolls B-MEG and Ginebra in the PBA.

Toroman serves as a bench consultant for Ato Agustin of Petron, which has been eliminated from contention in the ongoing Governors’ Cup. The Boosters won the title in last season’s edition of the tournament.

For now. :D

Blakely is better than Bozeman, Ginebra is quite boring with imports like Bozeman. I wonder if Bozeman is the best option out there for the BGK.
re: the Ginebra win over ROS, wtf is Bozeman doing guaring Gabe Norwood, seriously he could've guarded another player (more effective player so to speak, like Paul Lee) or perhaps the ROS import. Even Rob Labagala can guard a player as soft as Gabe Norwood. in order for ROS to be a serious contender, they really should trade Gabe Norwood for a homegrown workhorse.

nice to see "soft" gabe norwood shoving "rough-housing" rico villanueva which almost triggered a fight between yeng guiao and alfrancis chua.

Won't matter really. As long as we have loads of lazy "all-stars" this team is doomed anyway.

even the fanboys on pex were really pushing for a change, RT for Ato or Arwind trade..
they need a role player who can provide hustle plays not a talented but lazy star

I wonder how BCAP would react, they stopped protesting when MVP talked to them but now that Toroman's no longer in the camp of MVP .....

it would be interesting ....... does anyone know what's the relationship of Eala and Narvasa, is it good or bad ????

man, this semis format sucks, you just gotta see it when sister teams help each other.. tnt vs meralco tsk tsk and now that petron is out of it, what do you expect on their games against sister team?

Well, yeah, this format is more susceptible to that... Then again, it adds a bit of flavor since no-bearing games have now bearing as (sister) teams can play spoilers :D (See: tonight's games)
