2012 PBA Governors Cup

And that's Coach Ato's cue to bid adieu. Coach Toroman on the way.

First overall pick and some major trades will make Petron (or SMB?) the flagship team of the Evil Greedy Empire.

Line-up wise among SMC, Petron and BGK are competing for having too many superstars, however, Bmeg is competing for being no.1 in the league despite of having less superstars in their fold compared with their sisters!

I'd rather have a SMB of old with role players that really knows their role, instead of having so much all-stars or big time players which only sugarcoating this team now especially on papers!!!

abuda...mustre...lago...mente...they were the epitome of role players.

Its because Tim Cone does not tolerate Toroman exceeding his function as consultant. Even though he could accept the suggestions that Coach Rajko makes, Cone does not let Toroman make backseat coaching which he does in Petron, Ginebra and even at ABL's Beermen.

At BMeg everybody knows who is the boss. In the other SMC teams, there are just too many cooks which spoils the broth.

You forgot players like Rob Duat, Boybits Victoria and even Nicolas Belasco, the latter became a super sixth man who produced big numbers substituting the 3 front liners of the Beermen back then Seigle, Peña and Ildefonso.

Bmeg is basically humiliating Petron now, and to consider that Petron had the lead coming in the fourth.

dare I say.... Petron... James?(before this season of course)

Bmeg won despite coach Tim being thrown-out before halftime! Petron is now in the brink of elimination.

True. It's just the control freak in Toroman. Maybe they should make Toroman head coach of the ABL Beermen as a distraction. All was well with Petron when they won the Governors' Cup..

with Petron's loss to BMeg, it pushes the Boosters into a better position for the PBA Rookie Draft sweepstakes which to them is the JunMar Fajardo sweepstakes.

for Petron it could be sacrifice the present for a better future strategy.

It also gives its sister team Bmeg a better chance to be one of the Finalists in this Governors Cup.

But TNT also got a boost in its own quest to be a Finalist by winning at expense of sister team Meralco.

Don't ask me if its scripted or not ...... let's just enjoy the games.

I believe, this pick originally belongs to Shopinas/Air21, so there's really no connection to any Petron's loss.

Petron's players don't really compliment each other. Unlike TNT who targets players who fits Chot's system, Petron usually just gets the best player(s) in the deal. Also they really need to replace their coach.

Ot: Former PBA import Jarrid Famous is playing for Indiana in the NBA summer league

Should they appoint Olsen as the next headcoach for Petron next season?

Racela is a Jacobs and ECJ boy. Its now RSA which decides for SMC and it is Eala who is his go-to guy with regards to basketball.

I'd just thought he was the teams' consultant for the 3 SMC teams!

If I remember it correctly when the SBP contracted Toroman, it was as Project Director for SBP's Long-term Development Program but it did not stop him to ultimately becoming the Head Coach of SMART GILAS.

and wasn't also Tim Cone supposed to be just a Consultant with Richard del Rosario as Head Coach of BMeg .... however it turns out Richard is to slide back to his old position as Assistant with Tim taking the helm.

then there's Norman Black who is now a Consultant for TNT but will take over as Head Coach next year.

4 teams remain as finals contenders and we know that only 2 can make it.

Big game this evening particularly for the crowd favorite Gin Kings.

Come on sir, you would have said the same whatever the result was, both ways it could be "scripted" :)

Your camp must be one happy bunch though since James Yap will return to the Finals again ;)
