UAAP season 87

If those were his exact words, my question is who taught him manners? It's as if he talking to a person his age or level. Bastos.

Reyland is known to be a dirty player ever since and has no class at all. Out of the bullpups boys in Diliman, he's the worst "talent and manners -wise"

They should be more focused on starting on time. Scheduling it 30 mins early isn't gonna affect it as much if they still take an hour after the scheduled time to tip off the 2nd game.

True, they need to cut those unnecessary pre game stuff that consumes so much time!

To me, it's poor planning and coordination. It really took them an hour to begin any of the pre game stuff? Like really?

Im guessing they added the pre game stuff to milk more advertisements, would be hard to remove that if its racking them alot of money

I just realized that this is la salle's first round 1 win vs UP since season 79

Let’s take a look at UP: they receive government funding to recruit highly sought-after players, poach talent from other teams, and have used questionable tactics like manipulating JD’s eligibility. They even cleared JD’s name by leveraging whoever owned the video of him trying to hurt Kouame. Now, they’re blatantly trying to get an opposing coach suspended based on an unfounded accusation, yet their fans still want to act like they’re morally superior? Enough with UP, seriously.

They only won one championship to show for all this btw.

If this was the case, wouldnt UP be hoarding talent since the beginning of time. Also consider that IIRC, the budget allocated to them (and other SUCs) is lower compared to before.

IMO, most of their money comes from other (arguably questionable) sources, like ADMU, DLSU.

The truth is, we don’t have the full details on how things suddenly changed. It’s not as though that kind of information is readily available, and with only a small number of people in the loop, it’s easy to identify who the leak is hence it'll be a huge risk to expose such details. Furthermore, there’s no incentive for them to share such sensitive details. Huge risk for little to no reward? Yeah, I'd keep my mouth shut as well.

However, we must not be naive as well. Just follow the events, and you could easily infer what's really going on.

ABS-CBN had pre-game stuffs but it did not really affect the gametime.

So with Round 1 done, who among the rookies have impressed you the most? I had high expectations for Veejay Pre of FEU but he seems to be struggling so far. Bahay looks like a lock for the ROY.

Questionable fund sources? DLSU is a school of hypocrisy. It gave an award to Danding Cojuangco. hahaha At least UP didn't give any award to Marcos after EDSA.

If there's a lot of companies wanting to advertise, raise the price and accept fewer. The Super Bowl half time basically never changes in length so advertisers always have the same amount of time. The price to get an advertising slot is the one that changes.

Raise the price so it will be the same as if extending the time.

The point is that most DLSU fans (we are not talking about schools here, just their fans, if you go backroad), don't go around posting on social media doubt how morally upright they are etc. This is why I think the hate is concentrated towards UP and not DLSU or any other school.

A very good example is how a lot of fans posted after the Bahay incident that UP fans don't harbor ill will against players who decide to play for other schools. Fast forward the first game of the season, and Bahay gets thoroughly booed by the UP crowd to the point that JD Cagulangan had to say something about it in the press conference after.

Likewise, UP fans point to Mans Carpio whenever someone brings up Jonvic Remulla's ties to UP. But Mans isn't the main or prominent face among the DLSU boosters (I'd argue it's Ricky Razon, or even the Villavicencios). He's also not the first person these DLSU players thank whenever they acknowledge their team managers. Contrast that to how UP players revere Jonvic. These players know who's the real "boss" behind the scenes, otherwise they would be thanking Ma'am Robina.

With the exception of Pre and Bahay, I don't think any of the true freshmen get significant playing time so the award is essentially a toss-up between those two.

It cannot start on the time with the way the UAAP schedules its games. It's just impossible.

I watched the DLSU-UP game live last Sunday, and it took about one hour (from the time the UE-AdU game ended) before the arena was cleared out of spectators from that game. There were separate tickets for the two games.

If there are separate tickets for the two scheduled men's games, they should allot at least a two-hour gap between those games. Not just one hour.

if cha34 won’t then I will.

This is Reyland Torres we are talking about. The same guy called for an unsportsmanlike foul on Mike Phillips in Game 3 of last years finals. The same guy who purposely bumped into Nelle and exchanged words with him in the same finals series. How quickly people forget.

If people are going to bring up that YouTube video from many years ago with Doug Kramer as circumstantial proof against Topex, then shouldn’t we take a look at the character of Torres based on his behavior as recent as last season too?

As I said earlier in the thread, he’s not exactly and exemplar of good behavior. Quite the contrary in fact.

This dude is dirty as fuck a goon period.
he almost break kai sotto's leg during high school
I will not forget that motherfucking ugly face lolz.

Same here. I thought for sure it'd be Pre. But despite his struggles, it seems like Bahay is gonna win. As I said before, if he works on his game and body, I still think he'll be a superstar.

I can't say it came as a surprise but Rubico has been an utter disappointment. He doesn't get minutes from a DLSU squad that's lacking a real PG? He was supposedly the NCAA Jrs MVP had his team qualify for F4 but it seems like he's not polished or strong enough to male an impact in the Srs.
