Which teams do you want to see fail at WBC?

2) USA, because they are best in World and because they have support of referees (traveling...)

I think I will add any team to my list if they complain about the USA getting the "support of the referees". I am beyond sick of hearing this crybaby attitude from other countries about "playing by the FIBA rules" when it suits you. Nobody says anything of the moving screens, though, when they play the Americans. I guess if it benefits them, there's no sense of justice needed.

Pau has in his 4 last tournaments Gold WC, Silver European, SIlver Olimpics games and Gold European. Not bad. Gallis hasn't got it.

And maybe Gallis is more important to greek basketball than pau to spanish basketball. If a worse player is better from his country than a better player the reason is that greek basketball tradition is poorly than spanish basketball tradition

And for Spanish haters I understand u. 75 % or mroe are greeks and we always win over u. It's normal that u hate us

But all countries suffer bad refereeing sometimes (probably we should exclude the americans). Look the final in the Olympics, I could certainly tell that refs didn't go with us in that one.

Even I don't justify it, I can understand more easily that a ref may tend to favor the local team because of the pressure of the audience. Being a greek fan, I'm sure you will agree

Serbia dominated world basketball from 1995 to 2002 in unimaginable conditions from NATO bombing, economic crisis and so on. At the time we were a poor country (slightly better conditions now) with a population of 7 M. The referees respected us, they didn't help us. We deserved that respect as we shaped modern basketball the way you know it today. As you can see we are on the way to dominate again. Referees make mistakes, nothing you can do about it.

Most of the national teams are heavily influenced by the Serbian (ex Yugoslav) system established in the 60s. The Spanish team being the best example.

And nobody cares about the 60k members of spanish forums. That means nothing. Or the spanish tradition which is clearly not much bigger than the greek or the greek bigger than the spanish. They are about equal and a step lower than Yugoslavian (Serb-Croat-Slovenian-etc-etc) and Soviet Union (Russian-Lithuanian and the rest).

As for Gasol's accomplishments. He isn't as dominant as Galis was just for the sole reason that Galis was the leader of his team, which team would probably would do nothing without him. On the other hand, Gasol's team was dominant before he got there, and that's because it has another leader than Pau.

Nah, even the Americans had big complaints from the referees. See the final in the 72 Olympics. And they reacted worse than most of the other teams have till now.

I understand that is hard to learn FIBA rules for americans. But rules must be the same for all teams. When carries the ball over half a square and no travelling.. sorry.. This is not good.
