Haddadi is a dead daddy

Haddadi is a dead daddy

I've been replaying the games of Iran, including the latest Taiwan vs. Iran game today which the Taiwanese should have easily won. Despite all the hoopla and scaredycat opinions in the Pinoy forums, any neutral and studious observer would see through the fatal flaws of the current group of Iranian nationals. They have over-relied on Haddadi. Pinoys who understand "bakal boy" attacks can easily take out inbound passes to Haddadi and if necessary send the kind of shockwaves to his system that only most athletic can absorb. Haddadi at his age still flails his arms, and predictably spins like some f*ck**g Grade 6 kid. Taking him out on fouls is just too easy, specially when you know when to hook in his arms while driving, or forcibly lock down on his ankles and knees when he tries to spin in with his attacks so he can't jump without falling down. Smart Gilas would take him out of his game easily. Even the old Powerade codgers can do these too. Their three-point shooting system too is a mess; they play like PBA players too and have their weaknesses.

In the previous edition of Fiba Asia, Taulava shuts down Hamed but the dead guy Bahrami killed us with his scoring prowess. Its going to be different game when they face the Filipinos and I bet they have more cards on the table than Hamed.

defend those key players

defend those key players

Iran is basically an Hedadi/ Bahrami show..take those two out of their game and Iran would panic like hell

oh if only gabe or norwood or baguio has the traits of a ronald tubid, we could take down their wing players well :).

nardy, you don't want to go and watch the gilas practice when toroman is not there? is it important that toroman's there although you know that only four national team players are co-practicing with talk n' text? asking lang . . .

Galing! We placed 9th in that tournament because most of our kababayans think like you, dude. To quote Toroman, "the Iranian national team players are like soldiers: they will do anything that I tell them." Factor in the European strategy that Toroman taught them, plus twice a day training, plus four times a week weight training and conditioning, and plus the very high pay they're getting, -- then you have the Iranian team.

Start thinking FIBA and international competitions, then let's start saying we are talking on the same level . . .

Hayan na naman kayo, mga pare ko!

You all think in terms of PBA rules! Ibang klaseng basketbol yun!

Eh hindi nga PBA rules and ginagamit sa mga larong binabanggit ninyo!

And you should all post your entire statements in english. :)

calling captain obvious... obviously you're lost here

i wasn't even talking about PBA rules or PBA type of play brad. What I said was Bahrami killed us in tokushima, and it wasn't Hamed who did all the damage, its all a team effort.

On my final statement I said, Iran has more cards to offer rather than Hamed, get it?

If Smart Gilas is able to play tune-up games with at least 2-3 top teams in the world, it would definitely be a big boost. I hope we can play teams such as:

Argentina - very physical team (we need to face these kinds of team for better experience).

Greece

Spain

Lithuania

And get some good training coach, like Engelland, for shooting, Stockton on passing and ball handling, if you know what I mean^_^. Of course, if this will do, also get Bill Russel, for basketball wisdom:cool:

That's my wishlist for Smart Gilas... :D

Wala pa tayo sa kalahati nun, pare ko. (I'm talking about Gilas Pilipinas.)

Paano pa kaya yung Powerade chuva na bumiyahe lang ng 7 hours, rest muna instead of practicing or strategizing?

it's not my fault if RP team placed ninth newbie..what would my opinions do to save our national team.Don't pretend you know everything because apparently you don't.If you can't mind your manners then at least check your grammar.

Profuse apologies, bro.

But I don't get the "dutdot.com" that this ain't?
Dutdot.com is a serious motherhood site. Are you dissing them moms?

I'm just trying to excite you guys a little, hopefully resulting in more than the current mediocre level of posts. I don't throw invectives nor profanities, so maybe before you say "keep in mind" maybe you should google the meaning first. Peace, bro.

And so we move on with Gilas chit-chat . . .

And so we move on with Gilas chit-chat . . .

The finer points of CJ Giles' revised contract is now being reviewed, very carefully, by CJ and his advisors.

He fought tooth and nail for us during our recent international outings, -- and he's really a nice guy -- so I hear from the big boys at SBP that after he signs-up, the long process of naturalization could be initiated.

No word yet on Lutz.
